1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma.
Unfortunately, the NCAA is still hasn’t quite figured it out. Even if we were in the BCS, #1 and #2 would be pretty easy to determine this year. When you try to determine 2 additional teams that are “worthy” by a group of subjective people, we will be left with what we have this year and what we ended up last year. No one wants to see 2 SEC teams in a 4 team playoff, or any 2 teams from the same conference. What are conference championships really for? And teams like Notre Dame may have an advantage due to one less game.
The NCAA needs a clear cut, black and white set of rules to determine who gets into the playoffs. None of this BS “selection committee” that have there heads so far up their ***. No more “woulda, coulda, shoulda” ****. Make it an 8 team playoff, 5 conference champions are in, plus 3 at large bids. Seeding is based upon highest ranking at the end of the year.
Think about it, an 8 team playoff would look like this:
1) Alabama vs 8) Washington
2) Clemson vs 7) Georgia
3) Notre Dame vs 6) Ohio St
4) Oklahoma vs 5) UCF
Now that would be one hell of a playoff. Enough of this ******** we have now. Can you believe they are going to have a 4 hour selection show this week to figure out the mess they have now. Cmon man, we are making this way more complicated than it needs to be
