I don’t think dropping the F bomb over and over gains any listeners. But I feel it offends a lot of of fans. I’m one. Maybe if enough people agree he will stop. I don’t think the average Kentucky fan appreciates it

I feel like I’m supposed to know who that is.
He writes for KSR. He is a Uconn fan who in 2009 wrote an article titled "A Final Four in November" about the epic game in Madison square garden with us vs Uconn. We jumped out 12-0. They came back and the rest of the game was a back and forth war. Wall had 25 points and scored either our last 12 or 16 points, plus the game winning bucket while getting fouled. I still don't see how he made that shot.
But that was one of the best articles I've ever read and would recommend it to anyone.
I like a good F bomb as much as the next guy. But it is hard to listen to if it's overused. They are called curse words for a reason. We should only use them in extreme instances, or when it's really funny.
He said he got several complaints about saying mother f***** last week and he toned it down yesterday.

I think the F bomb shows your ignorance
KSR is snowflake kryptonite. Don’t like it, don’t listen.
So many of the younger generation use the F Bomb in their everyday vocabulary that they think it is normal. I cannot understand why people think it is ok to use in everyday conversations in Public Places. People use it around kids and it just infuriates me.
Worked in NYC or a while, trust me Northeaterners use the F word in every sentence. I think people do it around here and it sounds fake, but to people in that area, it's like breathing.
I gave the manager I was there helping some advice and he replied with "F You". To which I got a bit ticked. Decided to be a professional and just leave it all for my review and suggestions at the end and not mention it to him. He comes back about 2 hours later and says they can't figure out my process and wanted me to help them start. His "F You" was like us saying "good job". We had several laughs about that.
Now, I don't listen to this guys podcast, or any for that matter. But is he is from the Conn / New York area, I am sure that the F Word is second nature to him

I don't get it? KSR is the one who offended, aren't the ones offended the snowflakes? Maybe it's just your political stance that makes you a snowflake. You know, sterotype
F bomb use is like real estate.... It's all about location, location, location.
I use it privately around close friends, co-workers who I know won't be offended, and with humor around my wife. I don't use it in public, at church, in front of my boss, in front of my children, around co-workers who may be offended, or in front of my mom.

I couldn’t fault a guy for swearing. I swear more than anyone on this board more than likely. Just out of habit.

I tell kids that all the time. If you are intelligent you can find another word.
This. If everything out there is worthy of a " epic". " amazing" or a profanity it all losses its weight . I'm a God fearing Bible believing Christian , but my tongue has been hard to tame , like another poster said " its all about timing and location"
I listened to his very first podcast, I had planned on being a regular listener, but when he started cussing, I stopped listening and will not listen again. That's just not my cup of tea. I have a family of 3 kids, I appreciate a podcast that can entertain without being vulgar. Something that I can play even when the kids are in the room.

I'm an old Navy sailor, we use it like kids use like. No offense here.
I agree, it takes a high IQ to be clean and funny. It takes a great deal of intelligence and emotional maturity to be able to argue with someone, without insulting others and using cuss words to express real emotions. I dont have it perfected, most people dont, but it is an admirable goal to strive towards.
But I have to admit, there are some situations where adding certain cuss words just make the comment that much funnier.
Use it in private or around other like-minded f bomb droppers.
Don't use it out in public, around children, grandmas and people who don't want to hear your complete lack of respect for others around you. It makes you look less intelligent not being able to discern when it is appropriate to drop F bombs. (I mean "you" as in whoever, not you specifically).
The over use of the F bomb and other forms of profanity shows a lack of vocabulary, or a need to shock others. It gets old after a while and loses its effectiveness.
It shocks me in today's day and age of constant information in all forms that people are so easily offended. 30 years ago when it was rare that people were involuntarily exposed to "offensive" things, it would be no surprise that the first time they were exposed to it they would be taken aback.
But today? Sloppy, offensive language is everywhere. Everyone is exposed to it on a daily basis (sometimes hourly depending on their frequency to visit social media or the internet), yet there are still people that seem like this is some new thing to hear the F-bomb or politically-incorrect banter.

Then don't listen. That's the beauty of technology and its integration with entertainment in 2019. There are literally dozens, maybe hundreds of different options. If he wants to start a podcast called "College effing Basket-effing-ball, Mother-effers", he can do that. Personally, I have no problems with it. They're just words. I don't see the big deal.
