See, it can also be used as compliment. Like for instance, "Willie effing Nelson", or "Chris effing Stapleton", or "PJ effing Washington". You get the idea. Guarantee every one of those dudes would take that as a compliment. ESPECIALLY Willie or PJ.

Im not offended, its not a big deal, Its just not my preference.

I agree, the OP should not get offended, just don't listen, let the free market play itself out.

--If enough people don't like it, then his podcast wont last
--If a lot of people like that type of podcast, then it will become hugely successful, but still no one will be forced to listen, so it doesn't effect me either way

I hate to break this news, but I’m almost 40 and have been cussing since I was 7. Fluently since 9. Many of my classmates were saying f in 4th grade or earlier. My middle school aged neice swears at a good rate too. I don’t think this is a new thing. It’s more about people having real problems to deal with so random words that are considered bad aren’t really a big deal. Nobody gets hurt hearing the f word.

I’ve never understood why people freak out over words. As in, why is poop OK and **** considered bad or why is friggin OK but f——g just tge worst. It’s silly to me.

This. It's just a word. In fact, studies show (warning, science content) that using that word, or other "curse" words, helps to alleviate stress. Blow off steam, as it were. So, it could actually be argued, considering how stressed everyone seems to be these days, that cursing is actually mentally HEALTHIER than not cursing. I'm 43. It's part of my daily vocabulary.

I have never even heard this guys name before but I take he is a podcaster. Also if you cuss alot it takes the power out of it . Nothing wrong with a grown human being cussing to add importance or emotion to something but if you do it constantly it is stupid .

For example what sounds more passionate - I am pumped for tonight's game or I so mother Fin' pumped for the game tonight !

And I think that people that are offended by language are ignorant. If you don't like a word then ignore it. It's not that hard, you just don't get offended, it's a word not a spear through your chest.

Don't say it around my kids and grandkids and I will not be offended. Just because you feel it is normal does not mean I have to.

There is, in fact, a right and wrong way to curse. I've been around guys that throw around swear words like a connoisseur. Other times, it's just like, dude stop. You don't know what you're doing. I listen to two true crime podcasts and they curse all the time, along with some really blue humor. So bad language doesn't bother me as much, but it's when people do it poorly.

What I said should obviously apply to only adults, and/or people of age who make their own decisions. Children who live under the rules their parents have obviously don't apply. Sidestepping what I said with that point of view is kind of asinine.

Also, if you don't think those students curse more than any or all of us combined, I have a bridge in San Francisco I'd like to sell you. Listen to any online Call of Duty game, or Fortnite, or whatever.

I also agree that cussing shows your maturity level. Because saying poop, shoot, dang it, fudge, etc makes you sound like a kid.

too much cussing isnt my thing but it doesnt offend me. And sometimes like George Carlin ...its acceptable because its funny.

if its not intended to harm or upset you...... then dont let it offend you. Its ok if its not your thing but I dont get why people want to be outraged over little things

If cursing offends you, don't listen. Don't try to drum up support from other people to try and get him to stop. People like podcasts because they can be themselves, and say what they want without being watched over by a boss and the FCC. No one makes you listen.

If they are your kids or grandkids it's not my responsibility to pander to your wants or their needs. If you don't want them to hear it, don't put them in places where they might. You know, that thing called parenting!

I cuss like a sailor often, when in company where its acceptable, and I dont want to hear that in my podcasts or anything else. I completely get it.

Thats just wrong. I have a very large vocabulary, but I love to cuss and drop F bombs. Not an indictment in intelligence what so ever. Some people juat like to swear, and Im one.

The last potty mouthed arse I asked to watch his language around my family and then told me to fk off found his arse laying on the pavement put there by this sissified idiot.

Way to generalize, there. As if everyone who curses just spews them out everywhere they go, regardless of situation, social circle, or awareness. That is NOT the case. It's called a filter. Sometimes it's appropriate, sometimes it isn't. When I'm walking through a parking lot into the grocery store, and someone starts backing out of their parking spot without looking, and almost runs over me...which has happened more than once, I might add, people don't pay attention...you had better believe they're gonna get the more creative aspects of my colorful vocabulary, because they deserve it.

As to the second part of your post, I don't believe that for a second. You may have THOUGHT about it, or WANTED to do that, but you didn't. Regardless of whatever the mean ol' potty mouth said, what you said you did in retaliation is assault and battery. If you did what you claim, and this person didn't physically come into contact with you and yours, or didn't directly threaten severe bodily harm, then you committed a serious crime. So yeah. I call ********.
