How is it that in a year where college baseball might have more talent than ever before and the rich seem to be richer than ever... but LSU is kinda mediocre?

You would think they would really benefit from the deeper rosters like we and so many others have, but this is the least impressive LSU team i can remember in quite a while.

Don’t get me wrong, I think we have a really good team. I’m just surprised at how we’ve kinda cruised to two wins without breaking that much of a sweat.

I agree. Still a lot of season left to go, but they look like they could finish as a bottom half sec team

There is young and then there is LSU young. Their Freshmen Class ranked #2 in recruiting behind #1 in recruiting Miami. Both of this teams are playing Freshmen and Sophomores and it shows. State has 5 veterans in our lineup, and a pitching staff full of 3rd and 4th year players. If the hitting ever comes around, this team could have a very special year, similar to 2013.

Seems like their pitching depth is an issue. Wasn’t it in 2019 when they only had 1 LHP on the roster?
