I don’t know how anyone watches this season and reaches that conclusion. This is the least talent I’ve seen on the roster since Tubby Smith - at least Billy G. had Jodie Meeks.

This team has nothing. No star like De’Aaron Fox, no four-star surprise like SGA or Herro, no returning developmental success like Washington or Quickley. We have nothing. Every team we play has two or three players better than our best player. There isn’t a single player on our roster whose impact doesn’t have to be qualified six ways from Sunday. The 2013 NIT squad was loaded compared to this one.

Blame Cal for the talent evaluation and recruiting. Blame him for failing to hold onto guys like Hagans and Montgomery, who had no business leaving. That’s all fair. But this season is no indictment on Cal’s coaching because he has nothing to coach!

Yeah im not an inbred.. how many did pitino win? How many did Tubby win? You tellin me those guys didnt have talent on their teams

Nothing left to say. It’s all been said. A word of advice though. You’re a good poster. And I’ve enjoyed reading your posts on here. I’m old enough to be your father and then some I believe. Relax, and don’t take it so seriously. I wish someone had given me that same advice years ago. But no, it took me many years to learn that UK basketball isn’t life. And I’m still learning. Yeah, losing sucks. But there’s worse things, unfortunately. Just a post from an old man, take it or leave it.

Good advice but what I think most are upset about is Cal making 10 million a year for doing a terrible job.
All of us would be fired for performing that poorly but we’re handcuffed right now with that ridiculous contract.

Tubby could at least coach his lesser talent. Cal blows him out the water in recruiting but Tubby could a lot more with a lot less than Cal. At least before he got burnt out.

Pitino and Tubby never missed the NCAA Tournament and never came close to a losing record. Cal is going to miss the NCAA Tournament for the second time, will have a losing record, and has produced the worst season in 100 years. Are you really so blinded by your Cal fandom that you can’t understand why people are upset with him?

Huh? What least talent Smith team are you talking about? Meeks was a Smith recruit and was on the Tubby's last team. Which also had Crawford and Bradley. The previous team had Rondo. Any of which would star on this team.

Good Lord man.. you know how much stuff was shut down during the summer?!??! Practices, team bonding, scrimmages?! That wasnt Cal it was protocol

Couldn’t agree more. Just saying as you get older, priorities change. I don’t know anyone who dislikes Cal being our coach more than me. But you can’t let it eat at you constantly. Put things into perspective. Or not, hell, I don’t care, I’m drunk.
