Do you ever come with the kitchen sink like Nu did on the last 4&10. We brought 8 defenders leaving 3 DBs man on their receivers. 14 yard gain, 1st down.
I am not a huge blitzer which is why I like this 3-5...it is sort of built to be aggressive and easy so it keeps me from being too safe.
Our 5 linebackers are numbered 1-2-3-4-5...#1 is always the LBer that is closest to me...so if I want to bring the house I give a pinch/loop call first and I would call out 1,2,3,4,5 and they would all be going.
But since 2,4 are pretty much always going (unless we are having them read) there is a decent amount of pressure at all times.
I don't like blitzing MLBers...if they miss there is just so much bad **** that can happen.
I like bringing OLBers on an automatic call anytime we see WR motion for a jet sweep. That is built in to what we do. So if motion comes from right to left our outside LBer on the side that the motion is coming towards comes right up attacks outside shoulder in hopes of turning it up...we don't want jet sweep to ever get a chance to bubble and get to the sidelines and upfield.
This 3-5 is great vs zone read teams because it takes away their read man...but if they have a QB that can run it still causes us fits.
