Sounds like the guy that they hired at Kentucky is a pretty good recruiter and seems like Nawrot is receptive to his pitch.
This. And also as a former Oregon OC the offensive minded reputation is probably a strong draw for a QB.

That said, I’ve only driven through Lexington and around the athletic facilities and thought they felt run down. Of course I’m bias toward Iowa city! But the coeds, money, and offensive minded head coach were probably hard to pass up.

UK OC Joe Sloan was Jayden Dianels QB coach his last 2 years in CFB. Daniels improvement as a passer under Sloan was unbelievable. Threw for 317 yards per game his last season after throwing for 208 the year before. I do have questions about Sloan as an OC (but he does have Stein who has been a great OC) but what Sloan did with Daniels was impressive. I watched Daniels for 5 years in CFB. Below are Daniels CFB stats yr by yr.

Out of this group I think our best chance for a commit is Kuhn. Former Wrestler, guy would be perfect at Iowa.

Basically all recruiting is a price tag now. the old factors such as legacy matter a lot less.
It’d be interesting to see a Decision Analysis matrix today for most recruits. If I had to guess a weighted analysis looks like the following.

50% Compensation
25% Staff/NFL prep
10% locality
10% Depth chart/playing time
5% Academics

That looks like a pretty good breakdown. Of course there will always be prospects who weigh one more than the others. Some will go to whoever offers the most money. Others will go to a school with an academic reputation for alumni who earn big money many years after football.

The first weekend in June when the Hawks bring in the large group of official visitors is huge. Committed players and key targets. Post #206 has the list of uncommitted visitors. Add in Yebit also. Hoping for a few commits after this weeked.

There is someone on the watchlist for the Hawks. Eight uncommitted visitors in this weekend, could it be any of them? Maybe Britt.
