Do we really have a chance with any of the PGs? We aren't registering any percentage at all as far as where they are projected to go.

Thanks for pointing this out. I like Cooper and think he has much potential. I only listed the players I did because of their immediate potential to contribute offensively. I like Combs too whether we get much scoring from him or not. Spot on observation from you.
Coop and Combs have 21 combined today.

Sorry no 4 star or 5 star pg’s unless they’re willing to play for 1/2 of what power house Wake Forest is willing to pay.

There's no helping you if you think we were living and dying by Quentin Coleman lmao. Get a grip.

Just one of many gramps he whiffed on. Lots of visits no commitments. When he signs any pg’s worth their salt I’ll be back to apologize . Kapech! You do the same.

It’s not a whiff if you’re not pressing hard lol. They would have been fine if he committed but were also fine if he didn’t. Again. He wasn’t elite enough to get the money he commanded. Also, do you remember him saying ‘27 had more high level guard prospects than ‘26? There’s a reason we didn’t press for him.

Jeff Goodman opined that Coleman could be next years wagler.
Still hoping for es gets fired and we can get back in on Coleman...how much did WF pay for him?

He very well could be. But remember McCollum was hard after Wagler and he would have been a Bulldog if Illinois hadn’t swooped in late. The approach in the recruitment was different, especially when you consider how bad we need guards. Think about that last part.

not sure how much he got paid but Texas Tech and Illinois said he had a high price tag lol.

Saw on the other site behind a pay wall that Iowa has a hot list of recruits for 27, I'm not seeing where we lead for many recruits.
I’ve been checking these sites every day and Iowa is never seen as leading let alone being even mentioned. Ah yes that supposed 4 million NIL hasn’t so far swayed their minds. Yet, color me concerned.

Our success under Ben I think will come from their ability to develop talent. We all know the next Bennet Stirtz likely won't come from the portal. If we can sign a point who can play right away I think we can stay on a positive track.

Ben and company have sought the big fish first to test the waters. We may not win playing that game but if Ben can get the pieces he needs from maybe some overlooked players not looking for the big paycheck I think we will do ok.

Very rarely are you going to see a "leader" mentioned. It will always be a group of schools. Having said that, I really like where we stand with a couple high rated guys. We may not end up landing them, but McCollum has a plan. He has a knack for identifying talent. For McCollum's sake, for the Hawkeye's sake, and mostly to make the many local low IQ posters STFU, I hope we get them.

Beth Goetz on where Iowa men’s basketball stands in terms of roster-building funds:

“We’re not looking to put together a roster that’s going to have a $17 million line item on it. That’s not, I think, who we are going to be here at Iowa. But do we need to be in a competitive space where he (Ben McCollum) can go and pick up the pieces that he needs to be successful? Absolutely.”

Former hawk recruit Quentin coleman has exploded in ratings going from unranked to #30,which has vaulted forbes WF class to #10.
Comp is wagler. Damn.

Rumors swirling Coleman is decommitting from Wake.

Illinois or Texas Tech 😂

he’s going to command a very large sum of money, and he always has.

Just like illini to hit on wagler,he goes NBA,then replace with clone of wagler

Of course, poverty stricken tech probably use Cody Campbell oil cash to outbid them.
What a joke he wants BIG and SEC to share revenue with poor, poor tech.

We have posters concerned about next season losing Stirtz and his scoring. Aside from bringing in a point guard the scoring may come more from the wings and up front. Whether Banks returns or not Thompson I think will play a big role in the rotation. Add to that Harris for when we want to play small. Sage can score and hopefully gets better with his three ball.

Then you add in the bigs with Folgueiras just getting better. Jirak seems looks like he can develop an effective shot and already passes really well from the high post. We have the right coach to stir the pot right.
yep. I think the offense might be better next year without Stirtz. Don't get me wrong. Stirtz is an amazing player but I think the team relies on him a bit too much and I believe the 3/4 is the position that truly excels in McCollum's program. So, with Thompson, Sage, Koch and Harris, Iowa is in good hands moving forward.

I really hope Iowa can land Mckinney. He's solid.
So do I but, waving paltry funds in front of him Iowa has proven up to this point that they aren’t serious in paying them. By the way we need more than McKinney way more. If we offered legitimate funds he would have already been committed. Missouri or StLU probably where he ends up. They don’t screw around. When a recruit says Iowa is in the lead that’s an indicator to other schools that he’s open for business. $$$

In Ben's system the PG is far and beyond the position that seems to excel the most and Iowa doesn't have any good ones for next year.

You simply talking out your *** AGAIN. He visited said he likes Iowa as well as numerous other recruits then he whiffs yeah I said it again whiffs. He was elite stupid anymore excuses. No $$$$ no commitments even a moron like you should be able to comprehend that. Keep excusing the fact we won’t pay for elite players.

Believe it or not whether he’s elite in your mind or not is completely irrelevant. Whether you think your infantile feelings are correct or not, is irrelevant. People a lot closer to the situation with way more brains and insight than you, disagree with you. You can keep up your tantrums or you can accept what is front of your eyes and what you’ve been told 100 times as fact. IDGAF.
