Pitchers and catchers report tomorrow (2/11), so I'm a little late on turning the page, and starting the 2026 Phillies thread. Please use this thread for all discussions concerning the Philadelphia Phillies for the remaining offseason, spring training, regular season, hopefully the MLB playoffs, and then the offseason.

That video makes me chuckle. Major League Baseball. Billions of dollars flying around. Top prospect getting into shape by throwing a ball against a wall, just like a lot of kids do when they're growing up. Sometimes low tech is the best way to go.
Don't know about Nick as a person but as far as his game is concerned he never made the adjustment at the plate. The book was out on him and everyone knew he would chase the slider or any off-speed pitch away and off the plate.

Parity? My a**. There’s the haves and the have nots. Large market, deep pocketed teams rule the league. It’s long overdue for a salary cap and floor. I don’t care if that means a strike either. F it. Fix it now. Wake me up when the Pirates, A’s, Twins, Marlins, Rays, Rockies or Royals have a legitimate chance to compete with the Dodgers, Mets, Red Sox, Yankees, Phillies, Cubs and Astros.

Yeah, no doubt. That's why I never thought the Phils were gonna get anything for him, whether they broadcast that publicly or not. He is what he is.
