Yep, exactly. He knows whats up. Terrible timing for this. Baseball is booming at the moment. Ugh.
I have so many questions about what a next-gen collective bargaining agreement might look like:

1. Would the introduction of a hard cap mandate a new contract structure wiping away the 100% guarantees in place today?

Example: there are likely 5-6 teams projecting over the cap today. How do those teams get under the cap unless they can terminate contracts and get off the hook for future salaries?

2. Will they allow the kind of "cap voodoo" rife in the NFL today? Ex: voidable years to prorate signing bonuses farther out.

3. What will a salary floor look like and will that more than make up for lost earnings at the top of the spending market?

4. How will top-end player contracts evolve to fit within the new model? Will there be different ways for teams to cut players to manipulate cap hits the way there is the NFL?

5. Will the MLB owners give a higher % of revenues to the salary cap in exchange for these other controls? Will they negotiate at all?

They had live BP on the big field this AM. Luzardo was throwing it past people which I’m not sure is good or bad. But between Nola, Painter, and Luzardo, Luzardo was impressive.

A thunderbolt is talk about Trea, Bryce, and Kyle as 1-3 in the lineup. Looks like Topper is doing everything to protect Harper more. But Kyle will have Bohm behind him which is huge. I’ll give it until May 1st before everyone starts asking what is wrong with Schwarber. To me, it’s huge if they can get Garcia more like the 2023 version and put him cleanup.
