Actually watching the games is pretty similarCaleb looks like a bust. The GM should have been fired years ago - he must have dirt on somebody to have kept the job with the Team’s record since he got it.
Honestly, I knew the Bears would have a rough season when they skipped drafting a real LT in order to draft a 3rd round TE in the 1st.
It’s much easier to be a Cats fan, than a Bears fan.
Both teams have one good receiver.Actually watching the games is pretty similar
Technically the Bears have two. But for several weeks it sure has seemed like I am watching the same game on Sunday (Mon) that I saw on Sat. ( I could add that both depend on hyped QBs that have not really performed up to their billings)Both teams have one good receiver.
Not seeing it with DJ. I’m not sure BJ knows how to use him.Technically the Bears have two. But for several weeks it sure has seemed like I am watching the same game on Sunday (Mon) that I saw on Sat
Not so far he isn't. He is slow to make decisions, holds the ball too long and doesn't really make people around him better. Don't really see him as a leader. He is still young so there is still a chance.Caleb is light years better than Fields.
You obviously don’t watch Fields. Not so far he isn't. He is slow to make decisions, holds the ball too long and doesn't really make people around him better. Don't really see him as a leader. He is still young so there is still a chance.
Of course I was never in favor of using the #1 overall pick on him, I wanted it traded as the year before and build OL and with the returns
Nothing really since he left. Watched him at the Bears and there was nothing much around him till Moore arrived. That OL was attrocious Eberfloos was a terrible HC At Pittsburgh he was brought in as a backup but he did pretty well while he was in. This year I have not seen him playYou obviously don’t watch Fields.
Check out the QBR ratings of Fields and Williams in the fourth quarter of games. That will tell you everything you need to know.Nothing really since he left. Well here is an ex NFL scout that says he does not think Williams is a good player. This is post Ravens gameCheck out the QBR ratings of Fields and Williams in the fourth quarter of games. That will tell you everything you need to know.

Different question.Well here is an ex NFL scout that says he does not think Williams is a good player. This is post Ravens game
"He has not played well, their team has," Middlekauff, once a scout with the Philadelphia Eagles, said of Williams during an appearance on The Colin Cowherd Podcast on Sunday night. "The running back has played well, and the defense has played well, the quarterback has not. How many times today with Caleb [were there] guys in the flat, even on completions they have to stop and catch the ball. There's no rhythm to his game. I think Caleb isn't remotely a good player. Physically, he's got a lot of gifts, but in terms of playing the quarterback position, I think he's borderline not even average. That's a problem."

Why These Bears Aren’t Like the Old Bears
These Chicago Bears are different than the old Chicago Bears.www.si.com
As far as where he ranks of QBs taken last year based on last years stats he was 4th best after Daniels, Maye and Nix
![]()
So far he has shown that he was not worth the #1 overall pick. I would have rather that the traded #1 overall pick and built a solid OL and reinforced other areas with the proceeds
It’s the typical lazy take where most things that go wrong get blamed on the QB. The Bears defense is bad!Different question.
And that guy thinks the Bears ‘ defense has played well? They rank30th in the NFL in yards play allowed. The turnovers have saved them. We saw on Sunday. What happens when they don’t generate turnovers.
The Bears D this year is designed to be more disruptive and they have led the league on getting turnoversDifferent question.

Ok. But turnovers are unpredictable too. When they don’t come, this defense struggles. The Bears D this year is designed to be more disruptive and they have led the league on getting turnovers
They still have the Giants and the Browns at home, so I think that is very likely two wins. But beyond that, it gets pretty dicey. They will probably pull something out at Minnesota or maybe the Steelers at home.A Randy Walker special. Just outscore the other team. Entertaining as all get out. Special team screw ups and all. A win is a win and the Bears went 1 and 0 this week. Don't know how many games they will win playing like this but they sure are fun to watch.
Has to be the most entertaining game of the year

Before the year started I thought the Bears could win 8 or 9 games. If they do great, if not no big deal if it means they get a better draft selection. Forgot what their draft status is for next year but as we see they need improvement on both sides of the ball and special teams were a disaster today which almost cost them the game. They still have the Giants and the Browns at home, so I think that is very likely two wins. Hightower is a holdover from the Eberfluss staff. Another game like today and he might be looking for a new job. Atrocious ST play today.True but no excuse for the onside kick screw up. That can't happen.
That roster needs work. Before the year started I thought the Bears could win 8 or 9 games. If they do great, if not no big deal if it means they get a better draft selection. That’s a really silly take even before today’s game. He’s a decent quarterback now. Hardly a bust. He doesn’t turn the ball over and can make plays with his legs. And he’s played really well in the 4th quarter in both seasons. He’s led a bunch of last minute drives in a short career. I expect that his accuracy and timing will get better with more experience. He’s 23 years old. I think his floor is a good NFL quarterback. As a number 1 pick, he needs to be better than that and I think he will be. But I can guaranty you the Bears are not drafting a quarterback in the first few rounds. And you must have really thought Josh Allen was a bust because he was a lot worse in his first 2 seasons. And Jared Goff’s QBR in his first season with Johnson was 45 and he had already played 6 or 7 seasons in the NFL. Caleb’s is 55. Let’s see where he is after next season.Caleb is a bust imo. Bears will probably need to use next r 1 pick on another qb
More like Bengals found one more way to lose than the Bears did. I saw a graphic during the game that the Bengals had lost 5 games when they had scored 30 or more so now you can make that 6 (and they have 6 loses) Next highest was 2. That is one terrible D. The Bears D broke down pretty badly as well.Won today!
More like should be looking for a new job. STs has had issues all yearHightower is a holdover from the Eberfluss staff. Another game like today and he might be looking for a new job. Atrocious ST play today.
Agreed that they would not be looking for a top QB in the draft. They already have a pretty highly thought of backup that they have signed for a fair amount of time for a lotta money. But saying he is decent is still a stretch. Still seems he does not seem to see the field well, still takes way to long to make a decision, holds the ball too long, has bad foot work has questionable accuracy and does not do a great job to put his receivers in a position to get RAC ydThat’s a really silly take even before today’s game. A lotta work. Especially on the linesThat roster needs work.
He has 12 tds and 4 interceptions. Of those 4 interceptions, 1 was a tipped pass and 2 were on third and forever. He holds the ball too long but he also hasn’t turned the ball over. He’s on pace to throw for 4,000 yards with 26 tds and 9 interceptions. He is a plus runner and has done a much better job of avoiding sacks. He has also been outstanding in the 4th quarter and in clutch situations. On balance I think he is a decent quarterback, particularly for a guy in his 2nd season and first with Johnson.Agreed that they would not be looking for a top QB in the draft. I couldn't bear to watch that one, but I heard about what happened. They are the first team in NFL history to recover an onside kick near the end, score the go-ahead touchdown, and still lose. The Bungles keep finding new ways to humiliate themselves. I know Bears fans have been unhappy with their ownership and front office, but we have the worst in Cincinnati.More like Bengals found one more way to lose than the Bears did.
