As someone who considers the 'let's go pens' horn every 5 minutes one of the most annoying things in sports aside from Gus Johnson (give it a rest guys), as a Flyers fan that 'ignite the orange' thing they rolled out yesterday was super cringe. They need to come up with something better.
I’m kind of surprised how the pens are actually thinking that Cosby didn’t embellish - it was so obvious - he acted like he was shot.
then the coach doubled down and said Crosby doesn’t embellish - ha - he was know for being a “diver” for much of his career.
Stating he hadn’t been called for it before just shows how the league protected him all those years.
Your assessment is very unfair. Sid is one of the hardest workers in the league.
First, it’s not “my” assessment- it’s pretty much the feeling of the real world outside Pittsburgh.
Second, nowhere did I say he isn’t a “hard worker”. Further, I’ve never said he isn’t a “great player” or even a “winner” as you put it.
He can be Amd is all of those things.
But to say because he’s those things that he isn’t also a diver and a whiner is disingenuous.
He is and has been for pretty much his entire career.
Fair enough. It could also be said that most NHL players take dives and whine. Winners are always looking for an edge to gain an advantage.

It was the first time in his career Crosby was called for embellishment. His skills are slipping late in his career.
Doesn’t have a damn thing to do with the obvious embellishment on that play and the bogus cross check call he got in a rough game where he was hit so softly he didn’t even react. Great player but he is a consummate whiner who has been protected by the officials for years.
