I don’t even know what you’d call our approach at the plate, but for basically everyone not named Mershon, it sucks. It’s like they’re all sitting back and waiting for one pitch, and if that pitch doesn’t come, they’re just gonna watch strikes or else make a half *** swing at whatever comes their way. They haven’t been taught how to defend the plate which is pitiful at this level

I swear we can't win because we keep getting in our own way. I have never seen a Mississippi State team play so poorly in the field and on the bases and such a pivotal
series, especially on the base path.
