Matt Jones says...

"We talked when season ended (and were criticized by many) about possibility of SKJ and Quade transfer. There were 2 reasons: (1) it was true and (2) Calipari’s intent to add many more players I hope Quade stays...I think UK needs his leadership next year...but Cal is loading up"

"UK is still looking at Maxey and one more big guy...I think if PJ and Vanderbilt both come back, they pass on the other big guy. But much still remains to be seen about next year’s roster"

I really do hope Green returns. Even if Maxey comes on board , with our other guards he has just as good a chance to play his way into the 1st round as anybody (if that’s his ultimate goal )
Listen the green transfer talk has been silly ( not saying Green isn't thinking about it just that it makes zero sense) BUT IF MAXEY IS HERE HE SHOULD GO. He ain't playing much with those 4 . Becuase Maxey is the best player IMO in that class minus Wiseman and Carey . That is just my opinion though.

Cal knows - The only thing that can stop a Duke team of all small forwards? A starting five with only superstar point guards.

I know not many agree with me but IMO we really need Green's leadership. As talented as these kids are all are freshmen and it's going to be tough.

This, to me, means that Cal feels like Vanderbilt, Washington, and Gabriel are all coming back (to go with Richards and EJ Montgomery). Otherwise, we'd be hearing about bigs at this point more than guards.

I think 2/3 will return. I think one will leave and people will have a fit about it.

I agree. My dream team has a mixture of great freshmen and some good and experienced vets.

I don’t buy that Tucker is just now finding out about this, as it wasn’t hard to connect the dots after Tucker said possibly two more additions, one in HS and on a transfer; then Matt Jones said the one in HS was a guard; and Tucker really made repeated mentions of his story about Maxey last week.

I think Cal wants a loaded 2015 type team, and then that type of talent and depth could lead to more than usual returning the next year, and repeat cycle.

I really thought the reclassified player would have been a big.

All I heard last year was Green was not athletic, strong or quick enough and couldn’t guard... now he’s the key to next season.

Love his fight and would like him to stay — especially for the experience — but still.. kind of funny.

Pg- Hagans / Quickley
Sg- Maxey / Baker
Sf- Johnson / Herro
Pf- Gabriel / Vando
C - Montgomery / Richards

I think 1 of Gabriel or PJ will end up leaving to make money.... and I think it would be PJ so thats why I have Gabriel starting at the 4.

I think that lineup might just be platoon worthy
Herro not starting? Probably the best offensive player on the team.

Here’s my thing on Green. Lets say he leaves we are still going to have experience with Richards, Washington (hopefully), Vanderbilt, Wenyen, and Baker. How much can green really help if we get 5 players back.

Give me a break, tough guy. Many across the country agree with me. These kids are cutting High School short and barely even going to college. It wouldn't hurt us at all if it was stopped across the board.
Who is it hurting? Why does it need to be stopped?

If a kid wants to go to college early he shouldn't be denied that opportunity. High School students have been graduating early for decades, for a variety of reasons including athletics, academics, arts, etc. To hold back exceptionally gifted students just because the "many across the country" agree with you doesn't seem to justify the denial of this option.

You realize 90% of reclassified players were simply going back to their original class right? Or the class their age says they should have been in. Many are older than they should be as juniors due to being held back for basketball at a younger age. Simple facts.

It's just an opinion. You gave yours. Now what?

Maxey is one of my favorites in 2019. Has a little Joel Berry in his game. Little taller, little more explosive though

Could there be some possible redshirting coming up? Maybe Cal saw how it benefited Nova....?

Just throwing that out there since Cal seems to be changing somewhat on running guys out right away

I’m gonna be very pessimistic and just assume that Green won’t be here if this happens.

I think the freshmen we already have on board are more than enough to go along with a few vets.

During this season people complained when green was hurt and we didn’t have baker, why doesn’t Cal being in more guards and use schollys...... Now he is doing just that and people complain we have too many. Interesting

I can't begin to tell you how much I hate this argument. Conflating two separate posters, let alone a whole board into one opinion is lunacy. Unless I am the person who was complaining about not having enough guards, and I wasn't, then what others said is irrelevant to my comment.

Bagley was an exceptionally gifted student?

I was in no way singling you out. I’m simply stating people will complain either way. Me personally, Sign as many top players that want to come here as you can.
