They are?Remember when people who called themselves conservatives cared about deficits and debt? That was pre-Reagan.
Now they’re apostles of borrow and spend.
The conservative politicians are cease to be conservative about spending when they have control. They are mighty concerned about the deficit when someone else is signing things into law. It's right in front of all our faces. I'm not saying the liberals would be more frugal. I don't believe that. That's why I get on my soap box every so often about electing people who don't act like children in general, specifically about the budget in this case. They are?
I heard one economist say that if growth was over 2.6% and unemployment stayed down, the tax cut pays for itself. Growth has to be in excess of 2.6%The conservative politicians are cease to be conservative about spending when they have control. A lot of what you are calling conservatives were nover fiscally conservative. They are why the tea party made headway. Of course you realize the hypocrisy of liberals calling out conservatives on spending. You said as much. The problem was CRs were not getting the job done and compromise is a two way street. It doesnt help when compromise is made and then people get attacked for it.The conservative politicians are cease to be conservative about spending when they have control. That should surprise no one. Most of us that are conservative tell you that the current two parties are Liberals and extremely liberal. Liberals give lip service about debt and deficit. Extremely liberals say it is government responsibility to spend to grow or maintain the economy. There is no room for conservatives in that two party system.Remember when people who called themselves conservatives cared about deficits and debt? That was pre-Reagan.
Now they’re apostles of borrow and spend.
Obviously the debt has not been an issue since FY 1957 - Ike years. That was the last fiscal year the National Debt was smaller at the end of the year instead of beginning. All other years, we had to borrow to maintain operations. That is a nation's shame.Remember when people who called themselves conservatives cared about deficits and debt? That was pre-Reagan.

What the VP was alluding to was the deficit does not matter if you stimulate GDP growth enough to cover/pay off that deficit.Hell, Deficits don't matter Cheney told us that. Well, they matter to the GOP and their genius base when there is a Democrat in the White House but them ****s can't recognize hypocrisy, lol.
Speaki g of hypocrisy....dont remember you speaking about about spending when your guy doubled our debt.Hell, Deficits don't matter Cheney told us that. Well, they matter to the GOP and their genius base when there is a Democrat in the White House but them ****s can't recognize hypocrisy, lol.

Well, growth is over 2.6%, unemployment is staying flat, and the tax cut isn’t paying for itself, just like it hasn’t over nearly 40 years. How long will you guys hold onto the supply-side BS? Cut spending and increase taxes, or dramatically cut spending if you want to eliminate the deficit. Or, just continue to borrow money and dump the debt on your children and grandchildren. Which is exactly what you’ll do.
The facts don't support your claims, unless the Treasury Dept is part of the deep state conspiracy.blah, blah, blah...
