No doubt, they are 1600+ and growing. I live down in that area and they are building like crazy, that school will be overflowing in the next 10 years.Weddington 1600+ when realignment comes might be headed for 4A
Cuthbertson and Marvin Ridge are bigger than Weddington. Union County has been growing like this for a while now. When I played in the 80’s, there were only 5 high schools in this county. It’s crazyAfter next season half of the Union county conference will be 4A. That county must be exploding
My guess is 5 classes. It's going to be interesting to see how the NCHSAA proceeds with the next realignment. Are they going to stay with 4 classes or go to 5?
That caught my eye also. I remember y’all put in for a switch from 3 to 2 and was denied and Burns did also and was granted the move. Well y’all have 1 .... one .. 1 more student than Burns. That’s crazyTuscola 948 and we are 3a.lol
There is not that much building in the Weddington district but there is in Cuthbertson and Marvin Ridge they are both over 1900. Weddington got kids back from the social engineering redistricting they did to send kids to SV and MonroeNo doubt, they are 1600+ and growing. I live down in that area and they are building like crazy, that school will be overflowing in the next 10 years.
Weddington is the best team overall in 3A and they have 1621TCR 1542 and they are 3A
I agree to Weddington is going to win state by fiddy but...if the go 4A that's done
Isn't Mallard Creek 4A
So they take the top 32 teams in 4A overall and take largest 16 of those to 4AA, the smaller 16 go to 4A. Is that what you are asking?4AA
So what are the thresholds that say x amount of students = y classification? I guess that is where I get confused based on some posts above
I'd assume so.Something to ponder about the HSOT 3A projections: Would KM and Crest flip flop if KM beats Crest?
Another possible bracket changer is the Statesville-West Rowan game.its gonna be very interestingI'd assume so.
As far as Montgomery Central goes, I agree with the projection. They’re getting blown out by small 2A schools. So they take the top 32 teams in 4A overall and take largest 16 of those to 4AA, the smaller 16 go to 4A. Is that what you are asking?
Also HSOT has some interesting projections. No Montgomery Central in playoffs, has Western Alamance in the west as well. Also has ACR as smallest 3AA school

Yes it is I was just stating for one side of bracket. It is top 64, then they take largest 32 and put them in AA then they do east/west and seed. That makes sense. But it would be top 64 right? In order to make 3A West 16, 3A East 16, 3AA West 16 and 3AA East 16
We did playoffs in NY a lot differently so I am still learning

If Weddington loses, I guarantee it won’t be because of losing focus. It will be because the other team outplayed them.
Whom might you suggest beat the Green Machine? They won’t beat themselves.Which could happen as well..............
Weddington has beat everyone in a great conference by 50. There is not a team under 4AA that beat the green meanies
Whom might you suggest beat the Green Machine? They won’t beat themselves.
Who do you that that ONE team could be? You have a lot of teams to chose from. Surely you have an idea as to whom it might be?There is ALWAYS a team out there that is under valued and maybe not even ready to beat the top dog RIGHT NOW, but one game at the end of the season..........

I'm not a Weddington fanboy by any means but go ahead and put their names on the rings right now. those are the hardest working kids in the business they block and tackle well and there as well coached anybody in the state.
