On a serious note though, RU Creedo could be accurate about a kid wanting to transfer but there is no such thing as a "secret" transfer. He can't just walk up to Cael and say "hey, I'm going to RU, see ya". He actually has to, you know, have a conversation with Cael and ask him for a release which Cael has the option to grant or not grant. If he's transferring, it is because Cael signed off on it so I'm not sure why Creedo thinks the earth will shake in Happy Valley. Cael will be the least person surprised. There's a lot of depth at PSU so I think most are understanding if a wrestler that is being recruited over wants to leave for an opportunity to start at another program.
Regarding PSU transfer - I think its a BS. Someone might've said "Rutgers might be attractive destination with the graduating wrestlers opening up a spot in my weight class," but nothing more than this. Logically, if there's a reputable wrestler considering transferring to RU, Goodall should definitely know by now b/c of the scholly situation. Kids at the high level will not transfer without a financial commitment is in place, so there had to be at least a preliminary discussion with the head coach.

Try getting a sense for who you are trying to protect before posting. The guy is the ultimate jerk when it comes to RU wrestling. I suggest you go over to the psu board and read some of his disparaging comments about RU. He came here with an agenda to flame scarlet nation posters and that's it.
3rd are you even an RU fan? If not which seems to be the case I suggest you leave as well. Because your post clearly reeks of psu fan. If you are an RU fan you sure do have a weird way of showing your allegiance and have my apologies.

On another note, Cochran and O'malley won their NHSCA titles. If anyone knows how interested RU is with both wreatlers.
Can't speak to Rutgers' interest. I know the O'Malleys are a Rutgers family though.
I am a PSU fan and you are certainly entitled to suggest whatever you want. I'm also absolutely okay with leaving your board. Might I suggest you not be so sensitive to all PSU fans contributing to a discussion. They are not all out to "get" Rutgers.

Can we stop with all the BS. Creedo I hope your right sorry for having fun with your post. In time I will tell you my grip with you. It's not bad. Just one of your post. I respect you as an RU wrestler. RU wrestling is moving in the right direction. Two AAs in one year. Three AAs the past 3 years. We are heading in the right direction. Great recruiting class coming in. If Creedo is right we are only getting better. The coaching staff and wrestlers made a huge impression in the BIG tourn and NCAAs this year. Let's hope this is the beginning of a great future of this program. Besides what the wrestling team has done. I like to thank Bill Garbini, Josh Gross and David Bugen and many nameless others. I mention them because there is no reason to question what they have done for SKWC. Maybe you might guess who I am. Maybe not. At the end of the day It's all about RU Wrestling. I am not a coach.
If you are planning on attending the wrestling banquet please note that it has been rescheduled to Friday April 15. All other details remain unchanged. This is a great opportunity to thank the wrestlers and staff for the fantastic effort that they put into the program. This is a great group of people and I can pretty much guarantee that you will enjoy the evening.
Thanks RUgrapfan1 for the recognition but not necessary. Dave and Josh are great leaders and contributors to the program and its directions. The SKWC committee has many great minds contributors that help move the program forward. None of us care to publicize what we do or accomplish. We only care to aid the coaches and wrestlers. I like to keep you updated as the conduit to the coaches so you get it first here and share in our moving ahead. Bashing Creedo serves no purpose as I believe his intentions are good. I don't like bashing Josh who has been magnificent as a contributor to RU success. Hopefully the elite status we seek for RU wrestling is on the way!
I'm a PSU Wrestling fan (dont shoot me) and I think Rutgers wrestling is definitely heading in the right direction. Getting all 10 guys to Nationals is a really cool accomplishment! I believe that PSU has only done that once during Cael's tenure. You seem to have really good fan support for the program, RU definitely had one of the larger cheering sections at Nationals. I'm happy to see another Eastern school rise to prominence! Best of luck next season unless you're facing Penn St!

ray:WNG: Did RUCreedo contact you and indicate when transfer is coming and (maybe) who the transfer is ? RUCreedo seemed to have wanted to contact you. Do you know if the PSU wrestler has contacted the Rutgers coaches ? Also, very few wrestlers who overlapped Oliver and Sacchi completed in the NCAAs much less won a couple of matches. Is RUCreedo trying to throw us off track ?
I wrestled for parts of two seasons, recruited by Oliver, but Sacchi was coach when I got there. Only guy that fits the bill if Creedo is legit is Jason Hawk. Hawk was very good.
Redshirt the incoming class, and run the risk of losing every match next year. 197 and HWT are 12 points going the other way.
And maybe that's OK, if Ash, Theo, DV, and Lewis make the podium.
Or start true frosh at 197 and HWT. Take your chances, if you like your ability to coach them up during the season.

the alternative to redshirting is not an automatic 12 points for the opposing team in dual meets. Penn State had a pull a guy off the football team and bump guys up from 184 but they didn't give up 6 at 285 every dual.
I agree it is a big decision on how to handle 197 and 285 next year but your selling Kremiller and Normandia short.
the other big questions are does Lewis take a redshirt, how far up in weight does Giraldo go and does anyone else bump as well. barring an injury or the whole line up bumping up there is going to be a national qualifier on the bench come tournament time.
