So about Perrotti. 3x NJ State Placer and NJ State Champ (only competed 3 years because he had to sit out a HS year). I know for a fact Coach Goodale wanted Perrotti very bad. Saw something in him that no one else saw. Coach Goodale mentored Perrotti along. Fresh year the kid wrestled 3 wt classes. Had to fill in when Mason pulled his ********. Fresh year went 41, 49 and tried to qualify at 57. RS FR year had a very decent year in open tourns. At same time killed it in the classroom getting a 4.0 GPA. So we start our RS Soph year. Won some lost some. But Perrotti did what no one could do he broke the round of 12. AA Thats right!!!! Did any of you Monday morning second guessers have him AA!!!! I give you the answer NO!!!! I wont even get in to the talent he beat in his AA run. RS JR year you pick it was it a wt problem or the pressure got to him to repeat. My guess is wt was an issue. Focused on wt and no focus on technique. So RS SR he jumps up to 165. He gave you guys the excitement of you life. Little did you know in the match at the BIG TENs against Welch he hurt his ribs so bad. I thought his wrestling career was over. It was a very bad time for Anthony and our family!!! We did not even think he could even compete in the NCAAs. Most of you fools have no idea what the RU training staff did to get him to compete. What he does after losing a tough match against Wilson to grinds it out to AA is Amazing!!! After the Brennan match he txted me and told me he hurt my ribs bad again. He told me after the NCAAs that his oppenent would have to shot him to stop him from AAing To be honest I thought he was good enough to be top 5. Well it did not happen that way. So how many of you who post on this forum are a NJ State Champ and a 2AA. Only two are Donnie P and AA on the RU Team never mind this forum. So the rest of you Monday experts need to back off!!! You have no clue what it takes to get to that level. So I guess you know who I am.

Creedo My only problem with you is you said Perrotti fake his injury against Jordon at the Big Tens. You were so wrong Dude!!!

Do I need to past my name???? You should be lucky to have a son named AP!!!!
Amen on all counts. Anyone who knocks AP has probably never met the man or has a terminal case of Cranium Rectumitis.

Your magical thinking is ridiculous. Respect the Sport, Bro. Perrotti was an outlier. And the case can be made that Perrotti was more lucky than good.

1. During his first All-American run, he had to beat a kid that he worked with all summer. Nestor Taffur. The match prior to that, he pinned a kid from Oregon St. He could have easily lost that match had he not pinned.

2. He DNP'd the following year.

3. This year, he won his blood round match, and then didn't win again. an 8th place finish. Still on the podium, but far from impressive.

Btw, to qualify for the NCAA's you simply need to be 33/77. So you almost have a fifty percent chance of qualifying. Sadly, It's never been easier in history.

On the podium is far from impressive? Remind everyone how many times you were on it.

Wow, El Curioso going full troll mode. makes a bunch of stupid statements then trashes wrestlers and coaches just so he doesn't have to admit he was wrong. what a dick.

This poster does it with EVERY sport but seems to have a major hard-on for Goody and wrestling. He has bashed him in threads on the football and basketball boards, as well, and the fact he hasn't been banned yet is stunning.

Any fool who tries to downplay AP's career either has an agenda or just trying to start sh@t.

This thread sunk into the toilet, but it had its moments of entertainment.

Am I the only one who checks this thread 3x/day looking hungrily for news on the alleged transfer?! Is Santa really just a myth? Truly, I want to believe. Is 7 pages nearing the record for the wrestling thread? Oh, and AP was one of the most gutsy and awesome Rutgers student athletes ever.

I knew all that but did not want to get into a pissing match being called a "homer". The Perrotti's are a wonderful family and I only wish they had 4 more sons so we could fill more weight classes!
AP....Um Oh Yeah...wrestled 3 weight classes freshman year to help RU, not his own career. AA as a Soph and Senior. incredible off the mat too academically. Going to Grad School. 2nd fastest pin in NCAA Tournament history. Beat two NJ kids in his rounds of 12 to become AA. I wish we had 5 of AP and 5 of AA or 10 of each. They are incredible teammates often seeming happier when Hayden, Phil or others pull of a stunner.
Ignore the gadflies, Mr. Perrotti. This is their glory. Have a montecristo #2 and sit back with pride. Your son knows wrestling, punctuation, spelling and manners.

Rock on Josh. I have spent more time over the past 5 years with AP in practice and at meets than probably any other wrestler so I consider him as almost a second son. I told both Perrotti's that if they ever kicked him out of the house I would adopt him. There is not a finer, more genuine young man around than him. RU was lucky to have him represent us!

There will be wrestlers a lot more talented than Perrotti coming thru this program.. There will be wrestlers that accomplish a lot more accolades than AP... However!! NO ONE IN THIS PROGRAM WILL EVER BE ABLE TO SAY THAT THEY WERE THE FIRST RUTGERS WRESTLER IN PROGRAM HISTORY TO EARN ALL AMERICAN STATUS IN 2 DIFFERENT WEIGHTCLASSES!!! AP will forever own that!!

I wonder if Josh Demas's departure from SKWC makes it less likely that his brother Dom, Flowrestling's 11th ranked wrestler at 145, would consider wrestling for Rutgers.

Region 1. Two time Region Champ right? I know exactly who you are. Not that it matters. Just saying. It's a small world.

I also correctly guessed the kid to whom you were referring too. Can I get a little dap for that. And I respected your right to privacy, and never called you out on this forum.

and yes, you were better in High School, but at least you had that cup of coffee at the NCAA's.

Clearly, RU Creedo knows more than WNG or any of our coaches. One poll question: Will the transfer show up before Creedo properly spells the words "to" and "too" ?
