2 and Q rebs

What's the history behind "Q" in this phrase? I know what it means but why Q?
I've seen it said two ways: 2 and "Q" as in, they played two games then got barbecued. Or "2 and queue" as in, played two games then go get your asss in line with the rest of the people leaving the stadium.

It's pretty stupid, but a lot of people say it (not just Mississippi State fans). 2 and barbecue. Makes no sense at all.

They used to have a BBQ for the teams that were eleminated, or something like that. Found it...

It doesn't make a lot of since since 0-2 shouldn't really translate to 2 and _____ but people like catchy little rhymes so here we are.

I always assumed 2 and que just meant you lose 2 games, get eliminated, and join the riff raff in the parking lot eating bbq.
