Glad I wasn't the only person thinking this
I'm no Mount Airy fan. Farthest thing from it. I was just bored and looked it up.
What other people get tired of is "we are so tough" ; we hit people so hard; they ain't seen tough until they play us.
If you do not like what others say about their team, maybe you should first look at what you say about your own team.
I think West Columbus and Pender can do some damage in the East. Both have good teams. WC is really good. They are well coached and have size and speed.
I will say, we heard the , “you’ve never been hit like we are going to hit” last year. And I can say, I certainly didn’t come close to seeing anything I hadn’t seen.

Every year you speed guys eat crow. Or should. That’s kinda the point. This conversation happens every year and more times than not it ends with does exiting the playoffs early.
The two mountain teams I’ve seen Tarboro play from the west have been no “tougher” than any other team I’ve seen them play.
But it's funny to ME, that they think the smc , has never had speed teams,. It's funny to MEyou think you’re funny. When I start seeing these speedy teams beating mountain teams consistently (SMC specifically), I’ll eat my share of crow. Until then, keep talking speed and keep exiting the playoffs early.

Well I mean I certainly don’t see you posting about WNC teams… rightfully so when you are a Tarboro fan… I’m just saying your sample size is pretty small…
It’s probably best for us SMC people to not talk down so much about Mt. Airy and their conference. They may not have the same amount of hardware as the SMC but they do seem to do pretty well head to head against us in the playoffs. Their conference is very good too.

They were very fast and athletic last year, but unfortunately they played like they were on speed instead of having it.

MA has speed where it's needed. They will have as much overall team speed as any team they will face in the West.

One thing for sure, you can tell from the posters, some of these teams haven’t done much winning and they don’t know how to handle this years success
Yeah this how I felt with with some Mitchell fans last year. Like, we faced a much better Salisbury team in regular season. For that matter, in previous years our conference had four 3A schools playing in 2A that were just as tough. SMC has really good teams, but I can say the same thing about many teams in "flat earther" country too.
There ain't no gangsters in freaking Burke county dumbass so quit acting like one.
