That was a Catch... Ruling was BULLSHIZZLE

i've watched that amazing catch by Darby over and over again and I'm still not sure how they ruled that incomplete. I don't care that it moved a little during the catch, he was smoothly and absolutely in control of that catch. Instant Replay has been great for the sport but i also believe some of the catch rulings have been just stupid.

1. We are all homers, but that sure seemed like a catch - would love an objective person’s take. (The SC cheerleading announcers at that point even said it was a catch).

2. There is NO WAY there was enough evidence to overturn. I think if it had not been ruled a catch, there would have been enough evidence to call it a catch.

3. The fact that this was a review - where officials could gather themselves and ponder the ruling - makes me completely suspect that this wasn’t mere incompetence but blatant fixing. What else are you supposed to conclude?

The on-field refs called it a catch, it’s whoever is reviewing it in whatever room somewhere that reversed it I assume.

I actually didn't get to see that play. Assuming it was the first half? Was sleep for work
worth a watch it was a thing of beauty. I'm now sober and still believe it was a catch. Not sure where they found evidence to overturn their original correct call. Maybe there were some NFL ref scouts at the game and they were trying to impress them xD

how quickly they reviewed and reversed was odd too you're right. Karma eventually self corrected but dayum

Yeah, I was agitated yesterday a few times thinking about it. If we had lost the game people would be going apeshit, justifiably. I do hope UK is calling the SEC offices with some WTH questions. I was surprised the announcers did not call it out as pure baloney. They were very mild.

I will give them that it slightly moves... But his arms are under it and he remains control throughout. I just don't see how you could over turn it either way. Whatever was called on field should have stood, which was a catch.
There's a world where the ball hits the ground before he gets control but it certainly wasn't obvious on the replays. How in the world its was reversed would be beyond belief if Darby didn't have a UK helmet on. No doubt it would have been a Bama catch.
