Jacob Tamme & James Whelan were pretty good.

I get the sarcasm. Look at Willie's numbers tho. I'm not just blue shading. We are 0-4 without him imo.
Those and dickie Lyons Jr. I'm sure I spelled that wrong. But Willie has been a force this year. He makes the easy plays. He moves the chains every game.
Stein has repeatedly said it. Obviously it's his player and he will but I think he believes it. It shows in his play. Willie got those first downs we needed desperately in the first half when it was 0-17.

I love the way Rodriguez is the lead blocker when we need a yard or two for a 1st down.

I know Tamme was great just from his name alone but if im honest I didn't get to witness his play like I am Willie's. Jacob Tamme was definitely a stud.
I've had season tickets all the way back to the Jacob Tamme era.
This is no shade on Willie, because he is a very good player, but its the offense. As long as we have Stein, we're going to have elite te play. In fact this might be the least talented te room he has here.
That’s crazy that’s some decent TE in Willie, Boyer, and Skinner.
Finally a coach that knows how to utilize a TE in the passing offense. 
They are talented but given what we are doing we will start getting some insane te talent.
Also skinner isn't really a te unless he can gain at least 20 pounds. He is just a slow wr because he can't play in line at all.
I can't get mad at that. Heck I hope it's true.
Having very good TEs and making them part of the game plan, especially crucial situations, is an absolute program changer.

For all the productive talent those teams had, Tamme was often the guy who kept a drive going and or finished in the red zone with a big play.
TE is like a running QB. It’s hard for a lot of Ds to be perfect and account for everyone all the time so if you have a QB who can pop off, or TE who can make plays when the D has done its job and covered everyone else…we get results like last night.

If UK beats OU in Norman in 2 weeks, Driver has to flip to UK.
Got to at least make it a competitive game if we don't get the win. Can't go down there and lay a egg.
I know I keep saying this but its true: it really doesn't matter. We will have elite tes regardless if its him or not.
Love to have him but we will always be fine especially at that position.
They were both excellent receivers. Whalen couldn’t block at all and Tamme wasn’t great at it. They were both fantastic for us.
