I think this gets to the heart of what he’s been doing today, even if he’s completely oblivious to it. When he knows he can’t win an argument on its merits, he lashes out and starts creating entirely different arguments in his head. He assigns people positions they never took, invents motives they never expressed, and then gets angry at them over these imagined, fictional slights.

When this pointed out to him, there’s no recalibration or acknowledgment that he may have misunderstood someone. Every correction is treated like another attack, which gives him another reason to lash out and keeps him from ever having to consider that he may actually be the problem.

This explains the staggering hypocrisy displayed today. Yet, he seems completely unaware that the imagined behavior he finds so objectionable in everyone else is the same behavior he’s actively engaged in. I’m sorry you somehow became collateral damage from my exchange with him.

its all good....done replying w/ him..

Guess you just being obtuse because you know you went into a direction and concocted something that wasn't even being discussed... you can carry on, I see you....and its not deflection, I told you I'm not answering based on your two made up post....
I honestly don’t understand where this hostility’s coming from. I “can carry on.. you see me”. This has gotten too weird for me. I’m out man. This is Twilight Zone stuff at this point.

So you apologize to another poster for what I’ve said? You’re delusional. Lash out? Staggering hypocrisy? What on Earth are you talking about? Can anyone object to one of your posts without you having a meltdown?
The recalibration part came when I said sorry to Boog Boog. I forget sometimes how emotionally fragile all you Leftists are
I’m not upset, KD. You’ve never upset me. I’m also not the one who had a meltdown today. I just find the cognitive dissonance between how you see yourself and then the behavior you actually display fascinating to watch.
This has become your default of sorts. When you’re challenged to defend your essays, you always go back to the gas prices. It’s obvious to everyone even our new pal Haywood
I can walk and chew gum at the same time. I don’t think you’re capable of challenging anything I write if we’re being honest.

We were going back and forth in relative agreement for several posts. I was adding context and backing up my argument with examples of the tactics Carlson is using to expand his audience and political influence. You somehow completely spaced out on all of that, invented an entirely different argument in your head, convinced yourself I made it, and lost your mind over it.

So what exactly am I supposed to defend here? The made up conversation in your head?

Where did I say those involved in the Jan 6 debacle are absolved of responsibility because there were instigators there? I'm typing slow so you'll maybe comprehend here. I said they shouldn't have gone and should have been arrested. Hello? Are you there McFly? There were also instigators there as well. That's been known. Both comments are true, and both valid points.

You definitely missed the news concerning riots and property damage. Can't even believe you typed that. Here you go. In 2021, protesters in Portland did an estimated $2.3 million in damage. In Minnesota, over 1,500 businesses were damaged, and an estimated $500 million in damage was done in the Twin Cities. They were really grieving George Floyd. Just to be fair, it is estimated at least 1.5 million on Jan 6th. I'm sure you knew this one though.
I understand there was a lot of damage. My point is that saying the cities were destroyed is not true. Extremist rhetoric comes to mind.

My contention with your post about Carlson is if he targeted any other group besides Jews you would dismiss him as a monstrous bigot. No nuance, no context. And then when I skim over your essay there’s a couple of paragraphs dedicated to Carlson, then a couple for Israel.
It’s not “made up”. Your posts are for all to see

I don’t give a **** what Tucker Carlson is doing. He’s a monster. The End. If his sole focus was demonizing any other group, you wouldn’t be worried about him “expanding his audience” or influence

If you owned a business, how would you feel? Mostly peaceful or destroyed? See where we’re going here?
It doesn’t matter how anybody feels. We’re talking about objective reality. If you were a Minneapolis business owner whose livelihood was affected, you have every right to be pissed, but if you tell the world your entire city was destroyed, you’d be lying. How is this hard to understand?

This is a bizarre statement, KD. You brought Tucker into the conversation, wrote multiple posts about him, and then specifically asked me questions about him just yesterday. Did you forget that?

I answered your questions, you didn’t like my answer, proceeded with your meltdown, then randomly started attacking other people referencing statements you seemingly made up in your head. I’ve never defended Tucker Carlson. You’ve completely invented that as well.

This is the second time this month you’ve gotten completely lost in a conversation, invented things to get mad about, and displayed genuinely erratic behavior in the process. Are you okay? Does this happen to you in the real world too?

What part of $500 million in damages and destroyed is extremist rhetoric? Plus 1,500 businesses damaged. Who will be footing the bill? What about insurance premiums? Are you and @BOOGIEMAN1914 related?

Kid, saying cities were not destroyed is like saying “he only lost one arm, he still had the other one, so quit exaggerating!”

If this happened under Republican leadership they would be screaming an entirely different tune. That’s the difference between thinking for yourself and being a sheep.

Spot on. Liberals, radical leftists, or whatever, should be honestly treated for mental illness. To say it again, if the truth ever comes out on how corrupt our media has been, there will be many of them that have mental breakdowns.

Well, let’s start with the definition of “destroyed.” It means damaged beyond repair. Are all of those businesses permanently closed? Do you not understand there’s a difference between damaged and destroyed. What does it matter who bears the cost when distinguishing between something being damaged or destroyed? It’s irrelevant.

Your ‘analogy’ is ridiculous. Claude tells me there are between 20-25,000 registered business establishments in Minneapolis, so that means maybe 8% of them were damaged and you’re saying the city was destroyed/equating that to a human being permanently losing an arm. You don’t think that’s a little extreme? How many residences were wiped out during the destruction of Minneapolis? How many people lost an arm?

It’s the difference between sounding like an unhinged lunatic and sounding like someone capable of an honest debate. Which I know you’re not, I’ve read enough of your posts. I can’t believe I let myself get sucked in.

You’re playing word salad. It’s what you libs do. We went through this fiasco over a movie related to human trafficking a few weeks back. Now here you are nitpicking words used over protests from 2021. You should have simply said “yeah those were some very awful things that happened across the country.”

You guys wonder why rational people don’t take you seriously.

Instead of condemning all political violence, he’s looking for receipts as to whether whole cities were burned or just half the cities. It’s a weird hill to die on, to be sure, but this is what we’ve come to expect.
Meanwhile, apparently I’ve hurt Boogie’s feelings. Duckdevil is his therapist now and is privy to insight the rest of us lack. I’m tired of playing wet nurse to these lunatics honestly.

About the same time that it takes Boogie to be confused.
He said he’s done with me. Best I can tell, I had the audacity to suggest that someone other than white Europeans owned slaves and still do in the Mid East and Africa. And he mumbled a few things and hit the road.
Just never know about folks I guess.
Maybe Haywood can fill the void in the meantime.

Talk about a disconnect from reality when the looting and property damage was justified specifically based on the rioters’ feelings. Weird comment.

“What does it matter who bears the cost”? Clearly you’ve never run a business. If the city of Minneapolis fails to protect its businesses from looting and a temper tantrum from those with low IQs and a predisposition towards criminal behavior anyway, why should the business owners incur the financial penalty? The businesses likely face high losses due to shoplifting on a good day, and now they have to pony up the money to rebuild because Minnesota is chock full of liberal weenies who worship disfunction and grift.

The hypocrisy here is incredible. You just finished giving me a completely misguided lecture about prejudice and obsession, and then immediately turned around and started assigning motives to someone based on the fact that you assume he’s Black. Apparently his race tells you what he thinks, why he thinks it, which atrocities he’s required to care about, and even why he talks about slavery.

There’s a pretty ugly pattern developing here. You filter people’s arguments through whatever racial or ethnic identity you’ve assigned them, invent motives for them based on that identity, and then accuse everyone else of prejudice. You’re so consumed with finding bigotry in other people that you apparently can’t recognize your own prejudicial reasoning when you put it in writing. At this point, you’re not exposing anyone but yourself, and you should be embarrassed by what you’re putting on display.
The ugly pattern developing here is your nonsensical posts and your creepy patronization of the only Black poster on this board. It’s clear his approval is important to you, which is great, but what’s sad is when someone’s too dumb to realize they’re being tokenized. This is a sad and pathetic dynamic we’ve seen for decades now.

We have a few delusional posters on here. Duckey and Haywood are the new breed of the left. You can tell they're younger than Datt and Boogie. More dangerous with their thinking too. To be worse than the older two is a scary thought. The scarier part? There will be some coming along in a few years that are even worse than these two kids. Our two newer posters are they byproducts of tolerance. They've been given a voice, and spew way too much lunacy. I get that everyone is allowed a voice, but when the person is allowed to say unhinged and scary things, and gets to vote? God pray for all of us.

Twenty five years ago next Friday is the sad anniversary of 9/11. I fully believe if that happened now, there would be defenders of the terrorists by a few on here. Look at who the mayor is of NYC. He is nothing more than the result of that word 'tolerance' that's been shoved down our throats over time. He would have never been elected fifteen years ago.

Mike Johnson and Republican leadership have now canceled the final two weeks of scheduled votes and sent the House home until after the midterms in November. Republicans have passed only one signature piece of legislation despite controlling the White House and both chambers of Congress for the last two years: a massive tax cut for billionaires.

They leave for vacation with diesel prices at all time highs, food prices at record highs, soaring borrowing costs, and a hot war with Iran with no end in sight.

This is by far the second best idea the president has ever had. Starting a war with Iran being the first, of course. He should cut off trade immediately with all our partners. Nothing like shortages and inflation, to rally the base to the polls.

Do you not understand that our country has been on a slow decline for decades, not a year and a half? Maybe it will put some pressure on these eggheads at Fed Reserve to lowers rates.

See how it plays out first kiddo. I know you're dribbling down your leg over a possible bad Trump idea, and all, but...

I’m curious, @Mac9192, can you tell me what would happen if the Fed listened to the President and lowered interest rates right now?

This shouldn’t be too hard a question for you to answer. I think it might be good for you to work through the consequences of such an action in this moment.
