Biden - 9% inflation. The highest in 50 years. Tried to pass BBB when inflation was 6%+. Inflation only came down because they released oil from the SPR just before the election. Their green energy policies and social welfare programs are massively inflationary.

Iran was considered a threat, even by Democrat Administrations. I agree the war is unpopular, but a threat has been removed for the foreseeable future.

Neither side has acceptable polciies on the deficit in my book. (I'll give Clinton credit here)

The Biden economy was far from the envy of the world. That is laughable. It was full of fraud, fat, and inflation. 9%. Additionally, the economy and inflation was the #1 issue in the election and Democrats lost in a landslide. They lost the electoral college, the popular vote, and all 7 swing states. Saying the Biden economy was the envy of the world after losing on that very issue seems a bit tone deaf.

The tariffs, while possibly inflationary, inflation is still much lower than under the Biden regime.

I can understand Government not investing in free market (like Trump Intel). But at the same time, i think social security funds should be invested in the free market.
In all reality, inflation was never 9%. It was substantially higher during the Biden administration. For example, I bake all of my own bread and have for years. Actually went to culinary school in Scottsdale, AZ.

I buy my flour from Oregon, 25lbs at a time. Before Biden took office, the price was around $49.99/25 lbs. During Biden, $89.99/25lbs. That's not 9%, and I can list dozens of others items which were the same. From canned mushrooms to Hellmann's mayonnaise, literally doubled in price. The 9% is an absolute joke.

On your comments, SPR, that is FALSE. Biden spent all of 2024 rebuilding the SPR. Trump continued that for 2025, then this year started releasing more. Actually, it's Trump who's releasing oil from the SPR right before an election.

Lmao. Total ********. He added barely 40 million barrels. Meanwhile, Trump tried to buy oil in his first term, 77 million barrels when oil was cheap in 2020, and Dems stopped him. Meanwhile, Biden used 290 million barrels from the SPR.

People vote with their checkbook.
That's how the Dems lost in 2024.
And it's the reason there will be a Blue Tsunami in November.

You can bet your azz the RNC knows this.
That's all true except I wouldn't count on a Blue Tsunami. Both parties have underwater approval ratings. The only thing in democrats favor is that people tend to blame the incumbent. Republicans might have been able to hold onto control if not for the war. Trump totally screwed the pooch on that.

Schumer 27%
Jeffries 28%
Johnson 31%
Thune 18%

I expect democrats to take the house by gaining 12 seats and gain 2 senate seats.

Healthcare is probably the strongest sector of this report And even it's numbers are below average. Government hiring is terrible. Private sector hiring is terrible. There's no silver linings in this report. Even the unemployment rate is misleading since a lot of people are simply dropping out of the labor market.
You don't see any silver linings because you look for the negatives and ignore the positives.

Reasonably strong?

1.5% GDP growth last quarter
3.5% inflation rate
NEGATIVE 23,0000 jobs created

That’s a pretty low bar for reasonably strong.
Inflation is literally at the average historic rate of America. Meanwhile, you celebrated the Biden economy, which literally adjusted job growth down by a million jobs. Go into your backyard and pick up Sweetgum balls so you don't step on them.

Not true. I for one have been clear that IMO the government spent twice as much on covid than was necessary.

But to be fair Trump signed bills that could only get passed by a democrat congress if he agreed to much of that excess spending. Biden's spending was mostly after covid was on the way out.
3200 people were dying per day when Biden took over and it was the ARP that got the vaccine to within arms length of every American, which allowed the economy to reopen, "so on the way out" is an inaccurate description unless you give him credit for what his spending accomplished.

Trump's massive problem is the man in the mirror. Unfortunately for the country, one of Trump's obsessions is Fed interest rates, and Trump actually believes that higher unemployment helps him.
Trump doesn't think higher unemployment helps him. That's a silly thing to say. What Trump does is the same as any incumbent president does - they put a favorable spin on things.

Open inspections of Iran nuclear? Where did you come across that fantasy?
He also says GDP was higher under Biden. I'm not going to look it up again but GDP was something like 28 trillion in 2024 and is now 32 trillion. He thinks Iran was under control when Biden was president but that's not true either. Biden tried to get a new inspection deal but couldn't. The difference is he sad "Don't" and Trump attacked. Job growth was higher under Biden because he took credit for the economy reopening after Covid. He also created jobs with and extra $3.5 trillion of government spending. The problem was it also added to debt and inflation.

I'd prefer opinions about what we should do to lower healthcare costs and make housing more affordable. Instead we get Trump sucks. That's true about some things but it's not a plan.

What you wrote does not refute what I said. Not even a little bit.

@fatpiggy claimed that Biden released oil from the SPR right before the election. That was FALSE. It is actually fat slob Donny who is taking out oil right before the election.

I provided proof of this. There is no debate. So no, what I said is not ******** at all.

You are not a smart person. That is likely why your wife left you. Or the anger. Or the fact that you are a stone-cold loser. One, or all, of those.

The same people who criticize Trump for reducing Federal government jobs are the same people who didn't have a problem when Clinton eliminated 400,000 federal jobs.
Or the same hypocrites who championed Barak Obama for reporting millions of illegals. Not one has an ounce of honesty.

They also fully supported Obama when he did not believe in gay marriage, just like Hillary. If they cannot lie and deny, they have no life.

scroll all the way down to the bottom of table B1 - nearly all of government jobs lost were "local government education"

so...teachers

you're saying the silver lining - the hidden great news - of this overall bad jobs report is that there are lot fewer teachers?
from my perspective doesn't seem as if everything is spectacular in the economy...GDP less than expected, inflation higher, wages not keeping up with inflation, housing in the doldrums(especially if you're a seller)...

I don't know about the teacher number. In Florida, we're closing schools because of a reduction in the number of students..don't know if this is happening everywhere, but we've gone from a shortage to excess. I expected reduced numbers here, not necessarily nationwide

so be afraid of DSA people all you want, but just remember...

this is what MAGA did and where we've ended up when they had as much political capital and control of the system (congress, scotus, executive) as they've ever had

100% of job growth has been private sector and for american citizens. Shrinking the federal workforce to its lowest level in decades was a massive Trump W. Biden and dems wasted tax payer money to create unnecessary government jobs to fudge the data. Trump is doing great, and the working class is taking home more money than ever.
So the below is from 2018. Looks like TACO is behind if he's only added 40k in his second term vs the 40k a year they were experiencing:

"ATTORNEY GENERAL LAXALT: Thank you, Mr. President, for being here. I wanted to give you an update from the frontlines on how Nevada’s economy has been soaring over the last two years. We’re seeing the results on jobs and the economy firsthand. No state in the country was hit harder by the recession, and today jobs have come back, and business is stronger than ever.

We’ve been growing by about 40,000 jobs per year. We have our lowest unemployment rate in more than a decade. Right now, manufacturing jobs are growing at the fastest rate — and these are good jobs that are well-paying, that are able to sustain families and hardworking Nevadans."

Trump supporters do not live in reality. “People” like @fatpiggy @Scrubby @TigerGrowls @Hotshoe are not worth wasting time interacting with. They simply do not have the mental capacity to understand that their idol is an incompetent corrupt buffoon whose lack of intellect is only exceeded by their own.

Trump supporters are not people, are not Americans, and do not deserve rights. These filth are domestic terrorists and deserve to be harassed in public. They do not deserve peace.

LOL.... The fact that you used the word "idol" speaks to how unserious you are. You are simply a pathetic cultist who hates democracy.

Looks like I can eat a lot this week my friend. Someday you will like the horses. Best betting out there

I will never admit it is not fun. We had an OTB near our hometown. Used to go with my buddies when I'd visit for the holidays. Always had a blast. We'd have a community pot and then individual bets.

You think some women have penises for reference on your alleged intelligence. Mainstream democrat candidates are currently speaking at child drag shows with children as young as 11 dancing in lingerie for "giddy" adults (also democrats)

Here you go. Get your calculator einstein.

"The foreign-born category includes all people born outside the U.S. (legal permanent residents, temporary workers, refugees, naturalized citizens’ foreign-born parents’ children wait no — foreign-born means not U.S. citizens at birth, covering legal immigrants, temporary residents, and undocumented immigrants). BLS does not break out legal vs. illegal status.

CPS data is a household survey with sampling error and is subject to annual population-control revisions (a notable one occurred with the January 2026 data). Month-to-month changes can be volatile.

This is employment level change, not net job creation from the establishment (payroll) survey. The two surveys measure different things and often diverge."

Nearly a MILLION FOREIGN-BORN MEN have dropped out of the American workforce in a single year - and that's not an accident, that's the policy working!

The new jobs numbers came with a detail the headlines skipped.

Over the past year the number of foreign-born men in the labor force fell by 962,000. The foreign-born population overall dropped by 401,000!

That's what happens when you actually enforce immigration law.

Fewer illegal crossings, more people heading home, the jobs magnet finally switched off.

Here's the part the left won't say - foreign-born WOMEN in the workforce went UP over the same stretch. So this isn't an economic collapse.

It's the cheap-labor pipeline tightening as enforcement kicks in.

For years we were told the country would fall apart without all that cheap labor.

Funny - the sun still came up.

American workers spent a generation competing against people who'd take less because they had no choice.

That tilt is finally starting to level.
