You should absolutely fully fault the Coach for being dumb enough to make a move on an underage teenage student.
There must be no scenario where a coach or teacher is ever even partially let off the hook for making moves on an underage teenage student.

The student's behavior is reported to administration and documented.
That is the only correct way to handle a student that is acting inappropriately.

There must never be a time when a coach puts moves on an underage teenage student and society thinks “well you can’t totally blame him because she wanted it“.

Ha! Mrs. Flowers was my typing teacher. She taught my mother typing. I do think she retired a year after I graduated. She might have been something when my mom was in school.

I wonder how much of this female teacher on male student was a thing in the 1960s. Seems to be a whole lot reported now.

What about a lonely widow woman who is hell bent to make it on her own? It’s not fair to fault her when she lives a thousand miles from nowhere and not knowing yet what she might need when she hired a teenage boy who was so far from home. Who are we to judge when that young man learned more in that summer than any other he can remember?

Two things I don’t quite get.
If I’m 15 or 16 or 17 and I’m banging my teacher at said school, why do I feel the need to rat her out ?
Now I can definitely see me telling my buds about it and them telling others who tells parents and then an investigation happens and it all comes crashing down but two, this kinda thing has been all over the news in the last 20 years so how can that teacher not know this $#it isn’t going to end well for me at all and just stop?
I know one thing that is undefeated and it makes guys do stupid arse s#it but I guess it’s the same for some females as well.
I had two teachers in HS I would have loved to but never thought in a million years that it might even be remotely possible.

Sorry. Didn’t mean to imply I wouldn’t have blamed one of them for committing sexual battery or whatever it’s called when it’s a teacher and student over 16. I meant I wouldn’t have blamed one of them for thinking she really wanted them to do something as opposed to just seeking validation from being able to get attention from them.

I 17ed my junior college psyc teacher after meeting her husband. Let me tell you she was fine as hell, I was getting with this really good looking girl I’d known for quite a while but had been wanting that. So I had her my friend for years I mean, I swear on my trip to heaven she called me for several days straight begging and I’m talking absolutely begging for it again, she said she didn’t know it could feel that good. Unfortunately I had already made plans with other friends. So I’m chilling the next day my gorgeous *** teacher passes me in town and one thing led to another and yea things happened right in the back seat of my truck on our land. So let me be clear I knew what I was doing and so did she. Just because she was in her 30’s and smoking hot does it make me wrong or her wrong for natural attraction? I got to her not even intentionally from day 1 I was either talking to the aforementioned girl or not paying attention to sh*t. One day she kicked us both out for a single class. Then when I came back when I felt like it bc I was bombing the course due to “distractions” nah it was my own damn fault but still she had made me a full lesson plan and much much more. Then again I was past that age and have 0 regrets. Time well spent in college.

a 15, 16, or 17 year old boy isn't likely ratting out a teacher. What he is doing is bragging to his buddies, or being really careless with the paper trail and getting busted. Of course, when a kid that age gets busted, he's going to play the victim because it's pretty serious.

And you just gave me an idea for a t-shirt. When a teenage boy ***** a 25 year old woman - it's not rape. It's banging. And it doesn't mean the 25 year old woman shouldn't go to jail.

At a minimum, the outcome of a 15-16 year old boy getting popped by a teacher or someone of advanced age/maturity would be to create a pretty strong fetish or characterization of what sex should be for them or what they might prefer as their baseline. I'm not one to kink shame, but it might not be the ideal start to ones' sex life to be getting Mrs. Robinson'ed.

I was a teenager when I handed over my card to a young lady of the same age, but she happened to choose a very public place for the event. As at least an indirect result, to this day I enthusiastically promote a hobby of camping and hiking with my old lady. Young minds are very impressionable.

I was going to post of gif of Job performing as a magician to explain how I did it, but I guess I will just confess that it took a few minutes to post because this forum can be spammy and glitchy on mobile and it was acting up.

Let's be honest - consensually suspect, inappropriate dalliances with teachers/subs/student teachers were much easier back in the 60s and 70s and early 80s.

Still wrong, mind you ... but definitely easier to manage and/or get away with -- for both sides.
