Turek leads Hinson in new poll

We began with Iowa’s U.S. Senate race, because on Monday morning, Politico was first to publish a poll conducted after the primary election, which found Democrat Josh Turek with a slight lead over Republican Ashley Hinson, 47 percent to 45 percent. A Democratic-aligned firm, Global Strategy Group, conducted the survey and produced this polling memo.

Global Strategy Group found that President Donald Trump’s favorability is underwater (45 percent favorable, 52 percent unfavorable) among likely Iowa voters, even though the sample included more Republicans than Democrats. By voter registration, 42 percent of respondents were Republicans and 32 percent Democrats. 50 percent said they voted for Trump in 2024, just 41 percent voted for Harris. Among independents surveyed, Trump’s favorability was -28.

Arguably Turek has more room to grow, because only 61 percent of respondents were familiar with him, while 76 percent were familiar with Hinson. According to the polling memo, Turek leads by 62 percent to 36 percent among voters who were familiar with both candidates.

One bright spot for Hinson: Global Strategy Group found a slight lead for Republicans on the generic ballot for the Senate race (47 percent to 45 percent). That suggests she has an opportunity to win over voters who are already GOP-leaning.

Of course she will also want to drive down Turek’s favorables, which is why her campaign and GOP groups began running attack ads immediately after the primary.

National observers agree Iowa’s Senate race is competitive—a big change from 2022, when outside groups took almost no interest in Iowa’s U.S. Senate race until the last few weeks of the campaign. However, our state is considered a second-tier pickup opportunity for Democrats—not a top prospect like Maine or North Carolina.

Texas and Iowa will be the two hardest states to flip, but if they do, it's on!

I honestly don't think Dems will have a super hard time flipping Iowa. Sand has lead whatever Republican they've put him against. Reynolds was getting beat by generic Dems. And Joni was getting beat by generic Dems as well. Polls have consistently shown Democrats beating Republicans in Iowa.

Agreed, although I'm also guilty of interacting with the fool yesterday. I'm sorry everyone.

Hopefully, but never underestimate the stupidity of the American, especially the Iowan, electorate.
Let's say Trump can totally turn around the Iran War, get gas back under $3, not have to pay them $300 billion, and get inflation under control. Rs nationwide might have a good chance.

But that's a lot of heavy lifting in just 4 months.

I still don't think that would do it because there's more to it than that.

Top 5 reasons Americans have soured on Trump.

Public frustration with Donald Trump is largely driven by persistent economic and cost-of-living issues, as well as concerns regarding foreign policy, immigration, and governing style. [1, 2]

Voter discontent is primarily focused on these core issues:
  • Rising Cost of Living and Inflation: Voters have expressed widespread frustration that inflation and grocery prices have remained elevated, despite promises of immediate economic relief. [1, 2]
  • Controversial Trade and Tariff Policies: Widespread disapproval of enacted "Liberation Day" tariffs on American allies has caused confusion and contributed to high consumer prices. [1, 2]
  • Foreign Policy and Regional Instability: The administration’s aggressive actions abroad, including the ongoing war with Iran, have drawn considerable criticism for causing regional destabilization. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Aggressive Immigration Tactics: Public sentiment has shifted against harsh deportation and enforcement programs—such as sending ICE agents into major cities—which many Americans view as going too far. [1, 2]
  • Authoritarian Concerns: A substantial majority of Americans express alarm over his governing style, specifically attempts to expand executive power at the expense of established checks and balances. [1, 2]

I received a postcard from Hinson the other day. Nothing from Turek, so far.

It is like he doesn't even want my vote.

Says the guy that constantly brings me up in conversations.
The McJizz name is a great touch as well. Calling me that because I was making fun of your buddy who jizzed his pants before he went on a date.
Oh no. It was a full mental meltdown by McJizz. Moral and Mcalovin triggered him with pics of his kid as a toddler soldier (I of course did NOTHING WRING!) and he lost his cotdam mind - made ai pics of me making out with Tom Kakert, called TK’s wife names, just lost his mind and forced Tom’s hand.

TL/DR version: McJizz had a mental breakdown and attacked TK's wife and did a bunch of inappropriate s.hit, so TK locked the HROT site down by making it for paid-only members so the moron McJizz couldn't deploy his nine million handles. Someone discovered the Clemson OT site was free, so a mass migration of mostly non-doosher posters made it over here. We are now making it our (hopefully temporary) home until TK takes the lock off the HROT door.

Little bastids have been sucking the seeds out of my feeder faster than McJizz blows truckers out at I-80 truck stop.

I think the extended shepherds hook should work pretty well, but I may need to grease it up to avoid the brave acrobatic squirrels.

McJizz and the other trolls got so bad he shut it down at least temporarily.

Some of the moron brigade made it over here - but a FEW (looking at you @Huey Grey 2 and @Aardvark86) can't seem to help themselves.

Poop threads are core HROT lore.

Unfortunately, so are s.hit-posters like Scrubby, McJizz and Revolting (err, Riveting).

Sorry buddy.

Is McJizz actually posting here? That's hilarious! Is anyone resonding?

Actually, we can genially bust each other's balls without becoming quivering bitchbabies like you and people like McJizz.

Ain't that right, @AFM22, you dumb piece of shid?

Wrong. It was one poster. McJizz.

Mods on HROT are notoriously lax.

That tells you how insanely awful McJizz is to get it shut down. He literally doxxed and mocked the site owner’s spouse.

McGibbs/McJizz

I don’t know what is more pathetic, McJizz’s constant lying or his massive victim complex.

Dude needs to see a shrink, badly.

It was pretty hilarious. We put a rainbow flag up from June 1 to June 20 every year to signify we support the LGBQT community during that month which McJizz apparently thinks it means you are a lesbian?

He's an odd duck.

Literally haven't read a McJizz post since we moved here. Much better experience. :)

I presume he is still a hilariously stupid bitchassbaby?

If only the consequences of McJizz’s actions hadn’t mouthfudged him in his own butthole 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

STFU McJizz

This will be my last post on this topic as it is exceedingly boring.

I want to clear the air here, though, as you and McJizz are the ones that brought my profession into the conversation, not me.

You keep saying I am bragging about being a writer. That is bulls.hit. I'd prefer none of you freaks know anything about my personal life, but you JUMPED on McJizz's insults of me (which, typical of McJizz, are not tethered to reality, are misguided and absurdly innaccurate.)

Not once have I bragged or gloated or really said much about what I do - other than to note that it's pretty f.ucking stupid to call someone an "alleged" writer when they've been paid to do it by dozens of publications for three-plus decades.

It's not exactly rocket surgery.

Easy checklist:

1. Is the post stupid?
2. Is the post racist?
3. Does the moron have a stupid handle?

If you answer YES to 2 or more - it's a McJizz burner handle.

No one. Literally NO ONE, gives a single s.hit about anything McJizz says or thinks. He's the village idiot.

but at least you were friendly about it and not lashing out for no reason.
You're a coward who lashes out when confronted with your own words. If you don't like it, I suggest you do some soul searching and make an earnest effort to not be a racist POS.

I think you need to look up the term discombobulates. It’s doesn’t mean act like a douche and make up lies and continue to do so even when no one is interacting with you.

Damn…..Tubby Torbs is obsessed with you! Pretty f’en creepy if you ask me.
No kidding, how did I get so lucky. It’s really odd considering he claims he has me on ignore and doesn’t see anything I post. Why the hell would you post that much about someone when you don’t see anything they are posting?

I can agree with this. However, Rs chose a really bad candidate. Dude doesn't even live here. He's treating the office like a part time job. At this point I'm under the believe that Sand has to make some critical mistakes to lose.

It is kinda crazy that it's been a few weeks since Lahn won his primary and he still has zero upcoming events listed on his campaign website.

Just shows that you can do absolutely noting and still probably turn out better. At least that’s how I feel the last few presidential elections could have been won.

He been pretty much staying near GOP strongholds so far.

The one earlier this week where he thanked Reynolds for her leadership was especially entertaining.
Reynolds, sitting in the back row, isn't terribly popular right now.
I question if the Kansas guy really wants to be connected to her.

I hope Rob smashes Lahn.
