Anyone try a burger from Shake Shack? They're quite small unless you order a double or triple. But they are quite tasty.
Ketchup, mustard, and mayo? That sounds like a sloppy mess and a waste of meat.Saw that The French Laundry was opening a burger place, complete with branding on the bun top. Hell. No. Burgers are best unfussy and with simple ingredients - I go ketchup, mustard, onion (occasional hot sauce), or lettuce, tomato, mayo (occasional hot sauce).
This is the French Laundry burger nightmare:

This is my favorite burger, again from Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe (who have been doing smashburgers since before anyone called them that):

No, it's ketchup and mustard on it, or mayo - don't mix them. And I'm not a heavy sauce guy - don't like it squirting out when biting.
Our local Weis is once again selling Bertolino Smashburgers. We had some tailgating last year and they are excellent.

WOW.....wonderful atmosphere; brick walls, beautiful metal ceiling (wonder if it's the original), looks like the original wood flooring, sanded and varnished. If I were back in my "bar-fly days", this would be a great place to stop for shots and beer after a long day in the field. Here and Now Smash burger Honesdale Pa. $10 on Wednesdays.

Ah, I can see you’re a connoisseur.Lower bun, kosciusko coase grain mustard, full slice onion, burger 1/3 lb, topped with Shuey hot peppers, and melted slice Jarlsburg cheese. Top of bun, and it's done.
No tar? No heels? no, but if you ever get a chance ya gotta visit Al's. Best burgers in NC and its on Franklin St. in Chapel Hill. Busy every day.

If you are near any of the few Max & Ermas left, they have $8 cheeseburger with fries and soft drink on Thursdays. Tough to find a better deal eating out.
Dang, Max and Erma’s was our go-to Columbus eatery when our kids were young, along with Schmidt’s.If you are near any of the few Max & Ermas left, they have $8 cheeseburger with fries and soft drink on Thursdays. Tough to find a better deal eating out.
In Columbus Max and Erma’s kept their ice cream in a claw-footed bathtub.I didn’t realize that they were still around. They closed their restaurants in the Detroit area when I lived there years ago. Sad because they made a good burger. The one near me was always busy too.
