Many smaller bears are killed and eaten by larger bears. Other,usually smaller, die of starvation because of over population.
Okay. Still I don't see how this correlates to the social media trophy hunt that was posted.
I understand bear cannibalism relating to starvation is usually associated with polar bears. Otherwise, it is often associated with infanticide (killing young to increase mating opportunities).
Both may be taken as nature working for the strongest gene pool for species survival.
And "many" may be 25%. Yet, one cannot legally hunt a polar bear in the US. So conservationists don't seem to think killing adult polar bears is generally the way to go to protect cubs (or subadults).
I don't see how the subject trophy bear hunt can be taken as good for that area's bear gene pool. And I didn't hear anyone in the video assert such an egalitarian claim, which a conservationist might.

Fact is I got my hunter's safety card in PA at 12. I have spent many ruts on Dolly Sods in a tree with a bow.
I never said I was against hunting, being outdoors, or having a greater connection to acquisition of food. I only expressed a pointed opinion about certain trophy hunting and the reality of what is sold as "conservation."

For me, the article still has value. It’s way better than nothing. I enjoyed looking through it to look for Penn State recruits, and to see who is considered best in PA and the other big wrestling states. If the article had bios of 50 wrestlers, and the bios would have caused me to have to scroll more, that would be a negative for me. If the bios were links, then it would be fine, but I would not have clicked on any because I’m not curious about the best wrestler in Alaska, etc... what is the point of this article? it's just a list of states and names. no accolades. no link to the brand spanking new flo profiles. just states and names.
