The boro 1700 sq ft homes were reasonable, split it with 1 n GF. If they stay in LA (homes are 1 mil n up) we’re gonna help them get a “winter” place, prob mammoth they’ve been there since Saturday enjoying the dumpageNot gonna happen. In simple terms: Bend. Over.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Yacht Rock and I like some of it but there's a great big wide world of music out there to enjoy.we went to the Yacht Rock Concert Revue in Bend Oregon last summer. What a blast! Took Uber, got hammered, giggled, danced, sang, chilled. May have to do it again this summer which will be their 19 th year touring. Who knew!! Lawn Tickets with chair were cheap, beers, wine and cocktails, not so much!
Absolutely with out hesitation.Supertramp over REO???
This is Harold Baines and Frankie Frisch’s cronies in Cooperstown levels of not worthyNone of them are HOF worthy in my opinion. All mid-level bands. This is everyone gets a trophy culture with the R&R HOF.
Like Spinal Tap - England’s Loudest BandIn Rec Hall, 1976? I was there! Everyone who went has told me that it was the loudest concert they’d ever heard. Huh.
Guitar Man and the solo by Larry Knechtel of the Wrecking Crew is a classic, though. Knechtel was amazing - did the gorgeous piano piece for Bridge Over Troubled Water, the bass on most of the Doors’ debut and on the Byrds Mr. Tambourine Man, etc.You are the one who that has the hardon for Sherly not me. But yes I would listen to anything from her before America and Bread (except for Horse with no Name) and well frankly she gets points for not doing that godawful Baby I'ma Want you. Please.![]()
I hate them so much “I am the egg man GOOOO katchoo “After reading through the rest of this thread, I am really surprised at how much love Supertramp gets. To me they are just Breakfast in America pop blah. I must be missing something.
No, Bend needs @laKavosiey-st lion parking his *** in the middle of some uber scone and grilled abalone neighborhood to put a little scare into them. Give him one week and the number of PEACE AND HARMONY NOW yard signs will double.Just what Bend needs--more Californians.
Opening a "Pitchforks R Us" store in Bend would be a killer financial move. No, Bend needs @laKavosiey-st lion parking his *** in the middle of some uber scone and grilled abalone neighborhood to put a little scare into them. Gosh...I'd love to hear what your favorites are. Do tell.Boston meh
Kansas meh
Sweet ugh
Grand Funk Railroad tight band, but HOF?
Styx Horrible
Three Dog Night Well deserved
REO Speedwagon 2nd in this group
Supertramp garbage
Mostly lightweights featuring elevator muzak. Just what I've come to expect from this nonsensical HOF. *barf*
Jan don't like 'em. That's it.It is interesting that a whole generation of bands seemed to have been "black-balled" by the RRHOF.
Like who? I mean I'm shocked that ELP and Tull aren't in but then there are some really good 80's alternative bands not in as well.It is interesting that a whole generation of bands seemed to have been "black-balled" by the RRHOF.
If you enjoy anything about a group like supertramp you wouldn't appreciate my music. Nit1300 said it well, but 'edge' isn't even far enough. For example, I consider The Clash to be 'easy listening'. And that's the first two albums...pure sell outs after that. London Calling makes me sick. They had such potential...Gosh...I'd love to hear what your favorites are. Do tell.
Oh man I love the Clash and London Calling. It was around Combat Rock that I thought was ehhh. I love their Solo endeavors though and even before The Clash...Sigue, Sigue Sputnik. If you enjoy anything about a group like supertramp you wouldn't appreciate my music. I’d make an argument that Bauhaus was first in a whole genre…Oh man I love the Clash and London Calling. It was around Combat Rock that I thought was ehhh. I love their Solo endeavors though and even before The Clash...Sigue, Sigue Sputnik.
Oh and a shout out to another band I like Nitzer Ebb.
I have a wide taste in music.![]()
I saw Peter Murphy at a dive bar called Max's in fells point way back in the early 90's. Every now and then Robyn Hitchcock would show up. I think he was living in DC or Annapolis at the time.I’d make an argument that Bauhaus was first in a whole genre…
I think I’ve been in that dive barI saw Peter Murphy at a dive bar called Max's in fells point way back in the early 90's. Every now and then Robyn Hitchcock would show up. I think he was living in DC or Annapolis at the time.
I mean how can you not love her....
It was a in the late 80's to mid 90's then it was taken over by someone else and turned into a bright 20 beers on tap kind of frat bar.I think I’ve been in that dive bar
Lance Armstrong had a whole other set of issues.Lance Armstrong found something unloveable.![]()

You ever go to 4x8 (8x4?) a music venue in federal hill??It was a in the late 80's to mid 90's then it was taken over by someone else and turned into a bright 20 beers on tap kind of frat bar.
Was it called Max’s on Broadway? Ah, the late 80’s were an interesting time down there. My PSU girlfriend lived in Canton in 1988-90 range.I saw Peter Murphy at a dive bar called Max's in fells point way back in the early 90's. Every now and then Robyn Hitchcock would show up. I think he was living in DC or Annapolis at the time.
And good taste.I have a wide taste in music.![]()
They went kind of mainstream but are back to being an indie band with the next album but I'm a huge Death Cab for Cutie fan.And good taste.
So you turned me on to Sturgill Simpson (aka Johnny Blue Skies) and the Turnpike Troubadours.
Any other indie artists I should know about?
Loved your thought about ELO!Slamming Supertramp is sort of lame. You could just read the lyrics of songs like School or The Logical Song and be impressed. Then add in the music. I listen to more Supertramp and ELO than early 70's Stones and late 60's Beatles now a days.
