We did this. This season. Let people celebrate. One thing I don't have is the ability to read blatant hypocrisy and ignore it. I can't ignore it. Whether it benefits or hurts us.
Texas Tech is pre-season top 15 and they have a great coach. He had a title game team with like 3 GT’s and a 3* player who they coached up (Culver) and now went top 10 in the draft. I don’t think anyone should be chalking this up as a “fairly easy” win in the middle of the summer.
You’re the same type of person who complains about Gonzaga getting a 1 seed with their garbage conference schedule even though they load the non conf.
But since we do it now, it’s okay.
That’s what it looks like it’s going to be, but there HAS to be a balance for us to be a great team. Other teams with good guard defense will hurt us if we have no offensive post presence. It’s not like we’re going to be unstoppable at the guard and wing. We might be, but most are freshman and...
I disagree. I think he’s more likely to go top 10 if he doesn’t step foot in college. He doesn’t really have much to prove as he’s blown up the past summer and someone will take a chance on him.
So are our wings and most of the guards. It will take time. And you are crazy if you dont think Cal will rely on a big man to score. We’ve always had a strong scoring rate through our frontcourt
I know. Im merely making the point that people dont need to set such high expectations when this is another freshman coming in and not an experienced 5th year senior. The bar is always set so high around this time and then some are often disappointed after we lose a game in November.
Nothing against you but this is said every year around this time. Then come November it will be about youth.
Blackshear wouldve given us the experience to put us above all. Dante is another freshman that will have to mature like the rest. Higher expectations should not be the case right now
Usually right. Definitely more right than wrong.
I wont get my hopes up until something changes. Seems like Oregon or LSU.
Oregon gets fed because of Phil Knight so.
Lsu, well, we already know.
Yeah it’s no different than a coach talking about his player who is testing the draft waters. Neither may be taking classes, but they are both still officially a part of their team until they are officially gone. Most colleges have 2-3 summer “terms” anyways that vary in length.
