New Starkville Restaurants and Biz Thread

A doughnut shop opening up in a former tobacco shop, you say? It's hard to think of two better smelling businesses. Assuming the tobacco smell still lingers, now we'll get the chance to experience both at the same time. May we all live in interesting times!

Define "college towns" (1) Why did Lincoln Riley slice up a road gator he found on the side of the highway? (2) When I think "college town", Austin, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Atlanta, and Tucson are not the first places that come to mind.

    Petty’s BBQ

Yes, I remember Petty's out on old 82, just on the other side of Village Cycle Center. Sonny's was indeed on 16th section rd. on the left, with very little parking out front. That is an inherent problem with running a restaurant out of your house. Petty's was my hook-up for frog legs and he...

    Only Real MSU OGs Remember

That was the Great Wall. In between the Wendy's and the Subway, with Taco Bell on the far right end of the lineup. What a time to be alive! How many of you also had your PO Box in the bottom of the Union?

    Bear with me a moment.

A game to remember One of my favorite experiences at Davis-Wade Stadium was walking out with everyone going crazy after the game and crossing paths with two tearful Tide fans. One said to the other, "They think they won the GD Super Bowl!!" I relish that memory.

Prayers for Katie Samuelson. Watching the UCONN

I was watching the replay this morning and, to my surprise, I found my blood boiling over that flop. Two years after the fact, knowing that we won the game, and watching the game nearly get taken away in that manner is still infuriating.
