    Must be why Basch’s tweet noting Spencer’s series win was so glum. All things considered (elbow, potential concussion), I thought Spencer looked as good yesterday as he has in awhile (certainly later in the match). also good to see him finishing those shots he failed to finish at the open

    Looks like Spencer still has that wrap on his elbow based on the HWC’s recent IG posts. Certainly wont help him in finishing his righty singles that he already struggled to convert with last time.

    I think there’s some truth to him not wanting to expend too much energy. However, the more I watched it I do think he actually tried to finish on 2/3 of the shots, felt he wouldn’t be able to and then pivoted to the push out.
