One would hope so. Can’t imagine anybody other than an agent telling him to go pro right now.Listening to good advice is valuable and I would say he told him that.
Yeah really you can't tell anything by this BUT if you had to say something I would say you are right. There just isn't a single person who is telling EJ he is ready . Not the NBA , not players not coaches . No one . Well unless he has hanger ons who care more about their paycheck then his . And even in that case they have to be stupid as if he comes back and shoots 38% from 3 and gets 8 rebounds a game ( and averages 10-12 pts ) he will be a first rounder and they will make money. EJ can shoot and pass and rebound if he just get better at those 3 things he will be a big time player. If anything.. I'd guess he's coming back based on this.
I think the fans are just tired of the yearly ritual. If the players have demonstrated the ability, that is one thing, but now everyone thinks that they are ready for the NBA & they can hardly walk & chew gum at the same time. Players that shoot 30% from the field & 50% from the free throw line.......why would they need the NBA to tell them they need to improve their shooting? A player that is not strong enough to pick up a 50 lb bag of grass seed, why does he need the NBA to tell him he has to get stronger? I think this is what bothers so many.....I know it does me.
If a player has a decent season, then try & chase the dream of big $
These posters know the new rules giving players like EJ the opportunity to obtain feedback yet they still criticize. It’s baffling. Why is everyone so negative about players working out? If they didn't get invited to the NBA sponsored Events (Combine and G-League Combine) why not workout for as many teams possible/get the most info directly from organizations that you can? That way when you return to campus, you can swallow your ego and realize when the coaches are saying "Get your *** in the gym and put up more shots...." or this is what NBA teams are telling me specifically about you, that you're mature enough and informed enough to know it's 100% true. Some love Cal/some hate, but rare do you find people in basketball industry that say he's not a straight shooter. He's going to lose some recruits for being blunt and the ones he gets, it saves the NBA teams a lot of time trying to get them to take to coaching or understand what the team who selects them wants from them.
What you don’t understand is people like you, me or anyone on this board aren’t professional talent evaluators. All it takes is a scout to see something in someone like EJ that we don’t see and take a flier on him. Look how many no-names are playing in the NBA today. They’re playing because they were discovered by a scout, most likely in a combine workout.I think the fans are just tired of the yearly ritual. This message board will rupture earthquake-style if EJ stays in the draft.
As seen with my posts I’m usually on the side of these guys chasing their dreams and making that $$$. I really really am.
That being said, I can’t help but notice the entitlement (for lack of a better term) with some of these guys (not juSt at UK either)
The yearning to bolt as fast as possible to the NBA (even when not ready) the feeling of being a “failure” if you aren’t a one and done much less have to stay 2-3 years ?
Here’s the thing. Sometimes... just sometimes .., in order to be a MULTI MILLIONAIRE it takes time? Patience? Hard work? Who cares if it takes a couple years ? Most people work for decades to establish themselves in a roll to generate millions.
As strictly a business decision the bolting as soon as possible (non 1st round guarantee when you could easily be 1st round after a year or 2 more) is a pretty bad decision imo.
“Work” by building your brand, being on TV, getting insane amounts of Nike Swag, traveling the world etc for a couple years in order to make MILLIONS seems like a no brainer to me. Idk, just my opinion
Or he is getting help for his three point shot for this upcoming season!

Looks like Montgomery is taking the leap.
Well, get ready because it looks like that’s what’s coming.
Any other school he’s a 4 year player. Comes to UK, averages 8 minutes a game and 3 ppg and leaves for the draft when not even projected to get picked. Something is broken with this system here at Kentucky and we will never win another title if this keeps occurring.

Good. he sucked ***!
The goal is not to win a championship, the goal is to get 8 players drafted.Well, get ready because it looks like that’s what’s coming.

Omuroyi and Maker and Todd are all possibilities! So we replace PJ, Reid, EJ, and Nick with Nick, Sestina, and Brooks.
Maybe we add the phantom reclass that no one seems to be able to lock down with any form of articulation.
