UK fans are pissed at them instead of refs. When's the last time you saw a champion that didn't benefit from some kind of tournament luck? You know gotdamn well that you wouldn't be bitching and moaning if UK got some calls in the tourney.
Yeah but we don’t get those calls. I thing VA is a good team with a classy coach. I think some fans are tired of seeing crucial calls at the end of games. It’s a sore spot for most UK fans.

I know we typically get hosed, but I seem to remember some blown calls that benefited us on our runs to a Final Four or two. I don't remember the specific scenarios, but I seem to remember at least one during that run when we beat Ohio State and maybe North Carolina.
Please present them because we have specific calls that directly affected the outcome of the game including 2 no calls at the end of regulation just a week or so ago

Seriously, why do some of you hate Virginia so much? Would you rather a Duke, UNCheat, Jailhawks won instead of a clean program with a classy coach? I swear some of you ***** and moan just to ***** and moan.
A lot of us really don't give a **** after UK is gone..go take it out on Gomer...

Always being diligent in my process of trying to find these "other calls".. my first result from "Kentucky Ohio St blown call basketball"

https://thespun.com/sec/kentucky-wildcats/former-kentucky-star-blasts-ncaa-tournament-refs

Not you too, De'Aaron!? Welp, another tin foil hat..

And in full disclosure, my memory isn't so great. But that year or one or two around it, I feel like we got a significant call that we shouldn't have. It's possible I'm delusional as well.

I'd love to have a legit discussion on this. Not just some posters saying "WELL KENTUCKY WASN'T WHISTLED HERE WHEN HIS FINGER BRUSHED THE PLAYER!!"

I don't recall anything egregious from that year. Sure, we've had some debatable no-calls go our way. Every team has them. I think the biggest one again, was a fairly hard foul by KJ on a final play this year.. Arkansas or Alabama or Miss??

But I don't think you, or even any rival, can find some horrible missed call at a pivitol point in the game that bailed us out.

May as well get use to that. I am doubtful Cal can coach his way to another title. Unless he can find another AD.

Is AD married by any chance?
If so, he better have a son as soon as possible, and feed him super food to grow fast and be available to play for UK in couple of years.
There you go, the solution.

You might be right. If I could come up with the example, it would be one thing, but all I have is a hazy recollection so I'm probably wrong.

A lot of people made a lot of noise last year when Virginia lost without hunter that Bennett is a choke artist and their offense will never win a title they’re not happy they had to eat crow on that this year

I took the wife shopping in southwest Virginia today and I never saw the first piece of Virginia gear. Even Wally World sold UK,UT and Va Tech gear!
I told my wife if we had won the title that the state would be blue from Paducah to Pikeville!

No problem with UVA here. I can understand the less discerning fan may not like their style of play, preferring acrobatics to actual basketball. But to any student of the game or informed fan, they are a solid program.

Guess you don’t like our style of play then either then? We play ever bit as slow as Virginia does in the tournament. During our four games we averaged 65.75 in regulation while Virginia averaged 64.25.
So you think average score is a good way to understand how slow a team is playing.....

I've said it for years, if you don't want to lose a game in the last min of the game, handle your business in the other 39 min and don't leave it up to the refs.

That is ******** since Virginia (or any hypothetical other team for that matter" by definition didn't "handle their business in the other 39" either.

This is a lazy, trying to be a phony tough hardass excuse for incompetent or even shady officiating.

If people lurves them some Virginia so much I'm sure there is still plenty of room on the bandwagon if you hurry to scramble on.

Just another protected ACC team this time one that is likely rendered impotent just by creating a defensive 3 seconds is all I see.

In of itself no but I also watch the games and we do slow it down quite a bit. Virginia executes their half court offense much better than we do as well.

That’s because you were in VT country, which most of the state cheers.

Auburn was ahead dude when the no call on the double dribble happened. How is that them not handling their business?

I live here in the Tidewater region of Virginia and there are a lot more fair-weather fans here compared to Kentucky. It all depends on who’s winning. During football season, it’s more VT, basketball season, especially right now it’s a lot more UVA.. you also have a lot of Duke, UNC
