Seriously, why do some of you hate Virginia so much? Would you rather a Duke, UNCheat, Jailhawks won instead of a clean program with a classy coach? I swear some of you ***** and moan just to ***** and moan.

No problem with them at all. I think Bennett is a solid guy.
I don't know why more UK fans don't root for them. They are good enough to beat UNC, Duke and UofL on a regular basis and they play those three as many as 8 or 9 times per year. I end up watching and rooting for them in all of those games. Other than that, they aren't a rival of ours so there's no reason not to like them.
People will say their style is no good, but they just play really good defense. That slows down the game and limits their own number of offensive possessions.

Can't stand them. Their style of play makes me want to vomit. Plus I don't like Jerome and Guy.
No problem with them at all. Much rather have them win their first than ANYONE who has a title adding another.
I don’t root for them because I only root for Kentucky but I understand your point about beating our traditional rivals.
Their slow style is in part due to defense but it’s also due to their slow offensive style. It’s no secret Bennett is not a run and gun fan.
UK fans are pissed at them instead of refs. When's the last time you saw a champion that didn't benefit from some kind of tournament luck? You know gotdamn well that you wouldn't be bitching and moaning if UK got some calls in the tourney.
Another coach other than Cal winning a title brings about a lot of insecurity. And defensiveness.
Any particular reason why? They seem to be good kids who play hard and play the right way.

I didn't dislike them so much until all the favors they were granted in the tournament. They had no business in that final game. They got the Duke treatment which made me dislike them.
because the NCAA was determined to have an ACC team win it all and UVA was the benefactors of some shady officiating that allowed that to happen...
What hate? I'm missing it. If you're referring to the thread about the blown call, that's not hate toward UVA. That's directed toward officials.
I don't think they play the right way if there is such a thing. Jerome pushes off everytime he has the ball.
I think they will settle for the ACC regular season title, and national title.

I was all for em winning. They were an excellent team with a great coach and it was pretty cool that they went from losing to a 16 seed to winning the whole thing. Got no hate for Virginia. Not sure why it matters that they’re in the ACC. Duke & Carolina are the ones I hate there.
No hate. Just don't like to see people get done bad. Virginia won both final four games thanks to blown calls. The double dribble against the fighting Brucies and the trip against Tech.

I've said it for years, if you don't want to lose a game in the last min of the game, handle your business in the other 39 min and don't leave it up to the refs.
I don’t understand all the complaining about their style of play. Most games against good teams, we play a garbage brand of basketball. Fortunately, we typically have better players and coach and can win in spite of ourselves.
They deserved it, why aren't you complaining about the non foul call when Bryce Brown literally grabbed Jerome before the double dribble took place, both of those non calls wash each other out, and Auburn loses in both scenarios.
I'm seeing far more praise and "head nods" to UVA than detractors. But if you're expecting Kentucky fans to laud TB, probably not going to happen.

I don't mind them winning it at all, any team that beats Duke and North Carolina* more power to them. Virginia's best team ever before this had two Kentucky boys on it that were a big part of it, Jeff Jones from Owensboro and Lee Raker from Louisville.
I think it has more to do with hating the ACC and the constant praise they get while continually flaming out in the tourney. Good job to VA this year though, heck of a team.

I am not jealous, because we did not advance to play them, and there is no reason to hate them.
As far as I'm concerned, I have no problem if they win again as long as Puke or UNcheat don't win.

This here. They got so much help to get to the Final Four and then a couple of miraculous calls/no calls flipped the script AGAIN in the Championship game.
I like Guy but Jerome grinds my gears a lot. His demeanor last year during the loss to UMBC was repulsive, go back and watch it. I know its a situation no one wants to be in but suck it up.
Yes he was, I forgot about him. There was also another Kentuckian, Terry Gates from Louisville on that team.
I know we typically get hosed, but I seem to remember some blown calls that benefited us on our runs to a Final Four or two. I don't remember the specific scenarios, but I seem to remember at least one during that run when we beat Ohio State and maybe North Carolina.
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit. I never said the refs intentionally favored them, but wrong calls were made in critical times and I don't want to see someone luck to a 'ship. Derp!
