Would definitely fill a much needed gap! Hopefully he ends up committing

So is he a PF or center? I have a feeling if he comes, Richards more than likely leaves. This would be the second year in a row where a grad transfer comes in and takes his playing time.

Wondered this as well. Cal might sense Richards is going to try for the draft, or possibly something with EJ. Because I can't see either of them loving the idea of this guy coming in to take 20-25 mpg.

But man, he would be a huge get. He would do exactly what Travis did in the early going: be an anchor and ensure we don't take unnecessary loses. If we get Sestina, Kentucky is going to be even better next year.

I imagine he'd be a stretch-5. That's what we need, at least.

might need to get in the gym and improve and earn some playing time

Definitely doesn't need the gym. He's built. If anything maybe drop some weight and ensure he's mobile. That's the issue he would potentially have: quickness at a power conference level.

Well TBH, Nick is the one losing playing time.

The coaches were saying it all year, the team needed Nick to be successful, well, he never got where he needed to get.

Cal wants to win, just like we do. The right thing to do is bring this dude in, because Nick isn't going to be the guy we need him to be.

I don’t see him being better than Travis. He is very stout but not a jumper.

I am just trying to figure out the layout.

Hagans Quickly
Maxey Baker
Whitney Brooks
Sestina
Monty Richards

Probably not better.. but still an anchor to rely on. Travis wasn't exactly a jumper either.

Sestina is only a 2* player.. so we should temper expectations.. but if we could get 6 and 5 from him per game, along with EJ and Richards development, I'd be happy with that front court.

Everything would be so different for him here. Like Travis did not have foul issues where he was at but did here. How physical does he play. If you aren't a physical moron in this league, move aside. And if you are, do you know how to stay out of foul trouble? Can he play hard every second? Those are the type of things that would determine his success here.

Can you imagine being this kid. A year ago, he didn’t start 1 game, averaged 15 minutes and 6.5 ppg. And now he’s visiting UK. Good for you young man.

put him on the court and see what he has. The team should be around. If he can bang SIGN HIM UP. His videos show promise. 6'9'' 250? I want see the official numbers but yea we need a senior big that size BADLY. That's the same size as Travis.

I don’t know anything about him, seems like a good guy. Can he compete with SEC big men?

I see it being something like this most likely:

G Hagans/Quickley
G Maxey/Baker
F Whitney/Allen(if healthy)
F Brooks/Sestina
F Montgomery/Richards

Brooks is coming in with a chip on his shoulder after the McD's AA shun. I think he will make it hard not to play him.

Reminds me if a Padgett and Jorts combo. Love to have the kids plus seems like a natural leader to me. He may be the glue piece to the team next year. Really hope we land this young man!

That is a small lineup.

This dudes game reminds me of a more powerful but maybe not as athletic Gordon Hayward

Applauds for Cal! Circumstances beyond his control negated Carey and Wiseman to UK. So what does he do? This...

The Patriot league is not power five. Does this mean he won't take him? He is quoted today, in the last presser, that he may consider another "power five guy". An odd way to state it if you're taking the guy that's visiting today that isn't power five. I wonder how that gets reconciled?

I'd say he'd play the 4. We really need a guy like Sestina to bang in the paint. I see him replacing Pj's minutes.

It’s up to Nick to earn his playing time.

Bucknell may not be from a power five school but Bucknell in the past seems to have good teams and has done well in the NCAA Tourney. Nate Sestina numbers are basically a double/double player scoring 16 and 9 and he shoots 54% FG, 38% from 3, and a impressive 80% FT in 28 minutes a game. He looks like an impressive player that we can use after losing Wiseman and Carey and Sestina brings experience to our team.

So after reading an article on this guy, it sounds like he doesn't plan on making any other visits as of now. He says we will see how my 3-day visit goes with my parents. He also says his timetable to make a decision will be determined by this visit. So it sounds like if the visit goes well and we offer him he's ours. I'm sure some of you know more about him than me. I have watched the videos and he looks really good. But playing in that league is that going to transfer to the SEC in your guy's opinions? I men the Pac 1 isn't great, but RT was there when Ayton and others were and it was better. Worked out well with Reid, but is this guy close to the level of Reid?
