So the NBA is no longer coming after him it's other college teams. Not even good college teams at that. And these idiots actually believe it's going to be successful? That's about like printing rumors that Lebron is leaving the Lakers to go play in the G league.
Well lebron would probably dominate the g league. May win another title too.

UCLA and Californica in general is a trainwreck that no productive person should move too intentionally.

I’m tempted to ask how old you are, whether you finished high school, and if you are capable of holding a job. Because every one of your posts in this thread absolutely scream “mentally deficient”.
64 and a Masters in three areas and highly successful. So I assume you are completely satisfied with Cal’s tenure and didn’t expect at least one more title by now. I still don’t like the concept that NBA draft day is the greatest day in UK history. I could care less about draft day. Cal has an ego to feed and he could care less about UK fans wanting titles. I live in Nashville and will never attend another SEC tournament. Our coach doesn’t want to be there so why should I?

My take on this is, this thing can only go one of two ways, neither of which i am in control of. I just dont see getting all that tore up about it. We were a power before Cal landed here, and we will be a power after he leaves..granted it may take a little bit but we will get it done. If he stays, i will be extremely happy. If he leaves it will hurt for a little bit but we will be just fine. I just dont feel the need to freakout about it. If you have no control over something why let it get you upset.

How is that stirring the pot?? Its news about our coach that was on a national TV show. So, how exactly is KSR stirring the pot for reporting on it?
since matt is so connected with the program...why couldn't he ask some questions?

We were an afterthought/joke when Cal got here. We're a power now. I don't take what Cal has done for granted although many seem to think it would be easy to replace him. It won't.

This is better than Russian collusion.
Sactly. Just because 3-4 nerd dook and uncheat alums (i mean dspn staff members) get together and spout the same lie, that isnt creating buzz, its creating ******** and distractions.
Ever noticed this stuff comes up in march and it is NEVER coach k to nba or williams to ucla ... it is ALWAYS cal is leaving. Think there might be a reason for that?

Example ... K wont be able to win anywhere else and williams is damaged goods. Both are looking to retire at the end of the season. Now ... 3-4 more ppl need to say they read it online that k is retiring this year. Then we report that "there is buzz" about k retiring. See how this works?

Cal doesnt need to explain or squash squat. Esp if no one has asked him about it.

Now ... if he started conversation w ucla himself, then i would be completely wrong. But until i hear it from either one of those, it is bs, fake news.

I guess, at least we have a coach that other ppl want. And that is more than dook or tarholes can say.

Please tell me know one is dumb enough to believe he is for one second leaving UK for UCLA . Just don't. Now I do think he almost left for that one NBA job in 2015 but that was the one and only time he ever has or will think about leaving UK. As someone else said - this site has jumped the shark if we are taking this seriously. It is being put out there for a distraction - so obvious.
If and when he ever leaves it will never be about Cal leaving for a "better program", everybody needs to stop thinking about it that way. Someone in Cals position who has already done it all at the highest program would only leave for simple change of scenery, change of lifestyle and a new challenge simple as that. And everybody goes through seasons of a career and does that at some point fellas.

Not saying this one is it, just saying you have to change your perspective on why Cal would ever leave, it's not the same as a guy in the middle of his career still chasing championships/status/legacy etc.

We were never a Joke, we had two bad seasons with the drunk guy at the helm. Then righted the ship. Lessons were learned. That probably doesnt happen again. Not sure where the afterthought/joke part came from.

Cal could get a place in Malibu eat at NoBu and be the toast of Hollywood.
Cal moving would be lifestyle not money imo
Not really. He could walk around LA and most ppl wouldnt know who he is, but if he walks ANYWHERE in the beautiful commonwealth of Kentucky, then he will be treated like THE biggest of rock star ever. Fact.

It came from that's what we were with Billy. Our program was in shambles after Tubby left the cupboard bare and Billy's dog and pony show. We fans were not seeing it that way but believe me fans of other blue bloods were. We went from out in NIT to a powerhouse in a blink of an eye with Cal.

Calm down? Didnt know I was irrate but whatever you say. I just asked you a question. Defensive much? Or just delicate?

But anyway, whether it has merit or not, its news about our head coach on a national TV show. That is news that is relevant and significant to the fan base. I didnt see you calling out any other UK websites that are reporting on it.

Breath in....breath out. It will be ok.
You didn't like my opinion about ksr. You asked why I thought they were stirring the pot, and I told you. I didn't call out any other websites, because this is the title of THIS thread:
"Ksr story Cal interested ucla"
Maybe other sites are running with this nonsense, maybe they aren't. Don't know, but then again, they probably don't claim to be Kentucky fans while doing it. I find it odd, how you take my critique of ksr, personally.

If Kentucky is the Gold Standard, he is stepping down for the money. Does that add up to you ? I don't see it.

Nope. If he were that interested in the money, he didn't have to donate the extra million he just got, from the documentary.

LOL! So now you have a masters degree, are a basketball coach and a preacher.......but all anybody here knows you for is crying, whining, admitting you are old and grumpy and want a championship every year. Not to mention you admitting you like to agitate UK fans here. This has just gotten sad to watch.

Bro, if youre going to be a critic, be a fair critic. Thats all im saying. Its obvious by your passive aggressive comments that you dont like to be questioned. You are the one that needs to take a couple WHOOO SAAHHHS. Its really ok if someone replies and questions your post, I promise ya...its ok bro. Now simmer down, I was just saying if youre going to be a critic, be a fair critic. Thats all.

i have never said I didnt like Cal I have said I think he has underachieved with the talent he has. Yes I think K is the best coach in college basketball but I can’t stand him or Duke. Would I loved to have Barrett Williamson and Reddish over our freshman yes and so would’ve Cal or be wouldn’t have recruited them as a top priority. Cardsstinker I dont need to prove credibility to an immature kid. I have forgotten more about UK basketball than you will ever know. I have rarely missed a game since I can remember maybe 1960 or so. Don’t question my loyalty just because I Question Cal or am not convinced he can walk on Water. We were UK before him and we will be when he is gone. Regardless of when he leaves the program will suffer a couple of because of the model he has built with basically a new team every year. I imagine when he leaves he will do to us what he did to Memphis and take all his recruits with him. He is a players coach not a UK coach

Blame UCLA’s 24/7 reporter , Doug Gottlieb and Evan Daniels for reporting it. All KSR did was let people know what those guys said. And KSR and Matt Jones said they don’t believe it and it’s gotta be looking for a raise here at U.K. if it’s anything

I think that is exactly the kind of program that a coach like Cal would look at if he wanted a change. He's already come to the gold standard to do his thing and in his final years coaching what would be more attractive than taking a down and out former blue blood and bringing them back to prominance in a setting where there's little pressure compared to here and no where to go but up and look good doing it. Plus the hollywood lifestyle that would seem to fit him. Makes perfect sense to me.
Nothing about the Hollywood lifestyle would fit Cal. He is a Midwesterner from Pittsburgh. Makes zero sense

You have ZERO credibility. Anybody that says, as you did, that they are old, grumpy and expect a championship EVERY year is delusional. Now you have changed it to an elite eight every year, which is DELUSIONAL.....yet you don't hold coach K to the same standards and have slurped him here for YEARS. You look for anyone reason to slight Cal and if you can't find one, you manufacture one. You're a complete mess that wastes everyone's time here. I'm not a kid, either. You sure seem like one.

With all your degrees and youre highly successful career, how can you be so naive. If you think that he was talking about the draft when he made those comments, then you should ask for a refund for your degrees. Thats all I'm saying. He was talking about the future of UK basketball and what it will bring to our program. And he was right. Call him an underachiever all you want, titles are not easy and we haven't gotten any breaks that it takes to win the title. You act as though its so damn easy. Actually, Im not even going to start an argument. If you can see it, then so be it.

These rumors come out every year at this time. I believe it's a concerted effort to disrupt Calipari and UK heading into the tournament. It's... unfortunate it's being perpetuated by a UK site.
