If he has done all he can do here he has been a major flop. Tubby one title Cal on title but 30 one and dones. Yea
Sadly I think you are serious. How dare Calipari help kids become millionaires! When did Tubby give a million dollars to charity?

Unreal.

If some how,This team gets him his second title, then maybe but other than that,Cal loves the attention here but it would be a good way to exit with a National Championship.

It's March, which means for the only time all year casual sports fans, the outside media, and others alike are hyper focused on college basketball. This story is being stirred up to generate clicks.

Wow! What a coincidence, the week of one of the biggest sporting events of the year a story, about one of the biggest figures in the sport no less, is being pushed by media outlets to capitalize on the temporary causal fan interest. C'mon, don't fall for this BS.

Lets put it this way.......... if ... UCLA wins the powerball and mega millions on the same day and landed Cal.......... it would mean that Nike and Cal were truly on the outs.... I cant see any other reason why Cal would ever leave us for an ... what is UCLA now.. under armour or reebok or whatever...

Why would he leave when you could be 2 away from being tied with UCLA for titles. Cal would much rather catch UCLA then add to UCLA’s title count.

Whats disappointing is it's hard to enjoy the games with this being thrown out at the same time year after year. You would think I would be use to it by now.

I have a source saying they saw Cal and Ellen looking at high rise condos last night in L.A.. Also, Brad Stevens was seen in the Versailles area looking at horse farms after flying in on Joe Craft's Cessna. You heard it here first.

And I agree, sometimes you need a fresh start. He gave it his best now it's time to move on.
I would swear one of you two or even both are Jerry Tipton if I thought he knew how to operate a computer.

Look Charities are great. You dont know that Tubby didnt give to Charities he may not have made a punlic show of it, but he wasn’t brought here to make millionaires or donate to charity but to catch UCLA and win multiple titles. He has underachieved and been out coached in several big games including the title game while at Memphis.

Cal to the Lakers, DONE DEAL

You're close. Cal goes to Los Angeles to be the first coach to coach a pro team (Lakers) and college team (UCLA) at the same time. He will have them practice together on occasion. He will hire RP to be his understudy, so when the 2 teams have conflicts, RP will coach one team or the other.

I don't believe it for a second but if Cal wants to leave so badly, fine. UK has done nothing but bend over backwards to accomadate him in every way imaginable.

As did Pitino. Yet interestingly enough, you worship the ground he walks.

I see KSR is stirring the pot again for clicks.
Even if they could pay him more, he would get taxed to death in that socialist sh*thole, and the cost of living is asinine.

How is that stirring the pot?? Its news about our coach that was on a national TV show. So, how exactly is KSR stirring the pot for reporting on it?

I hope not. If he wants to go, let him. He's already the highest paid coach in college basketball.
Agreed.
10 million a year to coach college basketball is already obscene money... if he wants to go live in the hellhole that is Los Angeles and get taxed and regulated within an inch of his life, he should go for it.

Not to mention he'd actually be bringing home less thanks to California's tax tax tax super-majority dim "leadership."

It’s not unthinkable that Cal wants a different challenge or live in LA. It states he like the area and lifestyle. Maybe his wife wants a change of scenery. Cal will get top players anywhere he goes. He would have UCLA competing for a title within a few years. He could go there and have half the pressure and still be very successful in a new chapter in his life. No one knows what he wants so stop pretending you do. He may be here for years to come or he may be wanting a change. All we can do is wait.

I have the closest source to Coach Cal and they said Cal is actually taking over coaching duties for all California based NBA teams that currently have former Wildcats on the team and also coaching USC and UCLA all at the same time. He will do games via telephone from his home office.

I am serious. I happen to know some major donors and boosters who are un happy. I love the recruiting hype and swagger of Cal but still think we should have had at least one more title. I will tell you this also...Heavens forbid Duke or UNC winning title this year because that would be 5 between them in Cals tenure and that would be totally unacceptable for me and for lots of others. You are a great poster and I have been here since the old Cats Paws board around 2000 and I am just tired of the mass exodus every year

I like Coach Cal; with that said, I doubt even he could bring that ******** of a program back to what it once was.
Sorry UCLA, Wooden and his bank roll buddy Sam Gilbert are not walking thru any doors.

I heard Brad Stevens was cruising around in Luther Deaton's 1968 Maserati Ghibli. They stopped at KS Bar and were then seen with Larry Redman downtown ....oh well, rumors.

Calm down Matt. /s
Because it's rumor and innuendo that happens like clockwork every year, almost on cue. KSR knows this has as much merit as Bat Boy, but they don't care as long as they drive traffic to their website and radio show. Unfortunately, dishonest and unscrupulous reporting like this hurts recruiting, and also causes worry in the minds of our players who need to be focused on the the tournament.

Actually isn’t this the second Cal leaving rumor? Wasn’t he rumored to be looking at KU too if Self went to the Bulls?

Oh I know! It’s the ultimate plan! Cal leaves and we can get Pitino back!

Geez.
