PJ wasn't in the IG story. You can pause it and see the players out there. He also wasn't in the photos they put up. Not good, not good...![]()
Well crap. Feeling like he’s done done.Justus not talking about pj in the new episode of “behind Kentucky basketball” podcast kinda worries me a lil bit
If that is true...What a terrible break considering we were down 4 on the heave and it was meaningless effort....if you're talking about the final play of the game. It’s a tendon. Not a break. Hurt on the last second tip-in attempt vs. UT. Most likely out next two games. Possibly longer.
Please do not crucify me if this turns out to be untrue. I am simply passing along a text I got from someone who knows a team manager. I am praying that it’s untrue.
We’ve seen this movie before. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him out for the season. 4.5 months of hopes and dreams dashed with one pinky toe tendon smdhJustus not talking about pj in the new episode of “behind Kentucky basketball” podcast kinda worries me a lil bit
I know how good Washington is, but he is not gonna make the 3 point shooting and offense better.. Better have consistent scoring if your gonna make a Final Four run, this team just does not have it at times..
Now now let’s just wait and see what happensWe’ve seen this movie before. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him out for the season. 4.5 months of hopes and dreams dashed with one pinky toe tendon smdh

Spiders? Where? Eek!!! I hate spiders! My five-year-old arachnophobe grand daughter handles waking up with a spider crawling on her better than half of you handle the news that PJ Washington is wearing a precautionary boot.
Well that is not what I wanted to hear.I'm still hearing the same info I received yesterday morning. I asked my source for an update today, and I was told the same thing - that Washington is without question done for the year. I'm still kind of in denial mode and hoping somehow he's wrong.
I asked the guy giving me this information where he was getting his info from, and I found out that it's coming from one of the assistant coaches and a team doctor. The only thing that gives me hope that somehow there was some type of miscommunication is the fact that the assistant coach wouldn't expressly say that PJ is done, but it was inferred.
I'm only passing on information I was told, so please spare me the "you're a troll" banter. I'm not an insider and rarely ever hear anything you couldn't find on a public message board.
I'm just hoping Cal comes out with a definitive answer to this question when he releases a statement on the situation in an hour. I don't want another situation like JV or RT where we're given vague answers as to the status of their health.

I believe that you're getting info from a source.
I just hope the source is wrong, obviously.
If he is done for the season you can count on it that the announcement will be anything other than direct about it. The University / athletic Dept. is not going to fail to support the NCAA tournament by making statements that may result in significantly (and I mean SIGNIFICANTLY) less bodies in Jacksonville this weekend and possibly MUCH fewer in the next city the following weekend. We get enough retribution for unknown reasons as it is. That is all.I'm still hearing the same info I received yesterday morning. ExactlyIf assistant coaches and team doctors are leaking medical info they should lose their job.

I would argue that it is more about our defense and keeping from turning it over. We didn’t really lose to Tennessee because we lacked consistent scoring. We lost to them because we turned the ball over and allowed them to score 18 points in 3 minutes. Take down a turnover, get a defensive rebound, or contest a three, and UK probably wins that game. Our offense can be streaky, but I really think it will be the defense that carries us, and our defense is typically very very good. Can’t lose focus and we need Hagans to play like he did for most of the TN game and not turn the ball over.
With foot specialistHe did not come out for practice as of yet. He is no where to be seen, not even street clothes.,,
