LSU - UT game thread

Williams on the floor early

[wmk0002]

Lol at LSU coach and fans defending that play.

Arguably a hook and hold by Williams. But yes excessive contact by Reid

I don’t see LSU staying in this game without Waters.

But then again, who saw Vandy playing UT close for 40 minutes TWICE

[c-a-t-s-f-a-n]

As much as I dislike UT, we need them to win

[HenryMuto]

Reid 2 fouls this could get out of hand early.

Depends on what your goal is. If you want Tennessee to maintain a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament over us then go ahead and root for Tennessee.

Personally I rather have #1 seed in the South than the #1 seed in the SEC tournament (and a share of SEC title).

That's just me though.

[c-a-t-s-f-a-n]

4 point play coming for LSU

[Crawfords Corner]

LSU is getting a bit of the business from the refs. Hook and hold and Reid was fouled shooting a 3 both not called. That 2nd foul on Reid was questionable too.

Yeah, momentarily forgot about that. I think I'm with you.

Might be time for UT to try basket interference - strike while the iron's hot?

I’m starting to hate Grant Williams lately, and this UT team in general — except for Schofield. I’d take that kid at UK in a heartbeat. Williams obviously hooked and held, causing Reid to react. Williams is a punk *****.

I really like his game, but yeah it seems like it's a snowball effect with how much he flops and exaggerates contact. It's really a shame for a player of his caliber to resort to those kind of antics. Love Schofield though, he just goes out and plays and is a really respectful guy. Best name in basketball too IMO

[c-a-t-s-f-a-n]

LSU guys look good on block outs - just blocking each other out instead of UT

[_Pinot_]

Hahha you think Williams hook and hold. Lol. Reid did a wrestling move on him!!!!

This is the correct take on Williams and Schofield

[HenryMuto]

They just said Grant Williams had Yale on his final 3 team list. If he had gone to Yale wow would they be good right now. They are 18-4 right now.

It's questionable. Williams is notorious for flopping/faking now, so just about every time he's on the floor like that he's going to be questioned. He's earned that himself

Keep this baby close until halftime and they'll be in good shape

The hook and hold took place first. They should have called both. You can't do what either one of them did.

[c-a-t-s-f-a-n]

Is it just me or does UT only have 3 good players?

[c-a-t-s-f-a-n]

They called a CARRY?

[c-a-t-s-f-a-n]

No foul on LSU's end, then Bone throws ball 20 feet in air and runs to catch it...no walk? lmao

[gwjenning]

They called a CARRY?

Yet the Ut player can throw the ball up and grab it and no walk called

[anon_9qtxg60vqzy0y]

Will Wade is out of control on the sidelines. Surprised he hasn’t got T’d up yet.

[EmCats3]

Will Wade cries more than any coach not named Coach K

[c-a-t-s-f-a-n]

I think he had a legit point there though. But yeah, he's often wading through tears

He has a right on that one. Blown easy walk call followed by a touch foul on LSU.

[kyjeff1]

LSU getting jobbed on their home court by the refs. Missed hook and hold early on, missed foul on that last LSU drive, then the missed travel call. Followed it up with a lame foul ON LSU.

Backyard football style - like when I used to be the QB and the receiver

I think Gatorades would be more beneficial...it replaces lost electrolytes where as waters do not...

[Crawfords Corner]

This is a good game.

Whats going on with Waters

Out with illness

[specialkd24_rivals116121]

There are so many factors. Can we win in Knoxville without Reid? Will Duke lose without Zion and not be the top seed?

I want to be in Louisville as either the 1 or 2. I think we need UT to lose. So even if we lose in Knoxville they won’t be above Duke, UVA or Gonzaga. UT doesn’t have many Q1 wins.

The SEC title is irrelevant to me.

[Jamal Mercer]

I’ve changed my mind. Don’t care about the SEC regular season title. I despise the fact that Williams is on the floor so much. Geaux Tigers.

[c-a-t-s-f-a-n]

LSU stagnant on offense. May be a bit fatigued down two players the whole half minus the 4 minutes Reid was in

It matters to seeding
