Fairly certain Cal and Barnes weren't happy with that EJ dunk. Barnes definitely wasn't. But they were trapping and pressing so **** him.

[SAECATFAN]

Let me tell you what Rick Barnes can do, chief.

[BradentonCatFan]

Based on the replay, it looks like Cal gave EJ the motion to go ahead and score.

[BKH34]

Long as they're still trying to steal the ball, dunk on their heads. This is easy stuff.

[Wrong]

Coaches, man.

When the walk-ons are in at the end of a blowout, they're going to try to score. Texas Tech does it (awesomely, btw) and the coach chews them out. What a goober.

I saw that live and it really pissed me off. For the love of God some of these coaches are straight dicks. I hope he loses his locker room.

If I’m a walk-on I don’t want to check in just to dribble the ball and slap hands.

[PTI Anon1640710541]

It’s humiliating in a totally different way when you have to intentionally find ways NOT to score.

[buckethead1978]

Dunking when the other team is pressing or guarding you at the end of the game is fine.

Diving at the ball when a guy is standing there taking the L just for a runaway dunk is poor sports. Duke should have been called out for that. It wasn't gritty or tough.

[PTI Anon1640710541]

Duke is gay.

[UKwizard]

I'm pretty sure when EJ dunked there was still a difference between the shot and game clocks so unless we were just going to dribble into a shot clock violation then by all means try and score. Also I can't stress this enough UT can eat a dick.

[Hank Camacho]

Let me tell you what Rick Barnes can do, chief.

Eat some buttered popcorn while taunting a fat kid on a treadmill? Because to be honest with you that actually made me like Rick Barnes a little bit.

[Hank Camacho]

Hitting 48% and 46% from 3 for entire seasons of college basketball is only about the eighth most awesome thing about Doron Lamb.

That is saying something.

[Ribsandwhitebread]

The dunk by Montgomery was necessary for us simply bc in my own mind, a 17 point thumping just looks better than a 15 point win.

[jameslee32]

Enough sparks to start a grill.

[MaxPowerrr]

Well UT was fouling down 12 like that was gonna help so eff them they poop

[B Rax_rivals210137]

Walsh is gay

Wasn’t “they can blow you out in seconds” Vern lundquist?

Edit: just found it, it was Raf. Sorry everyone

[GrandePdre]

It's impossible to hate this kid. Easily my favorite player to wear that sh^t orange since Chris Lofton. Class act all the way.

[anthonys735]

Convenient everyone has forgotten we won the last game vs UT last year. Anyway, Schofield is alright but f*ck that little ***** Williams.

Terrible story about those boys from Sayre. Were in an accident on Harrodsburg Rd at 3:40 AM, but weren't found until 8:30 the next morning. Two brothers (15 and 17 killed); another teen still in the ICU. Awful.

[CastleRubric]

[laughing]

Rupp was so loud that I got a telemarketing call right before halftime, and I just held the phone up in the air. Totally blew the guys ears out. That ought to teach him a lesson.

They had to be trying to cut over on McCubbing to get to Clays Mill, overshot the road, mistakenly drove into the loop in front of the technical school, and plowed into that big tree and concrete benches.

And they did that in a Prius.

[Midway Cat]

Watched the game in a bar on Beale Street last night. Ended up posting up with a couple of Clemson fans who also hated Tennessee. Good people, obviously.

Also had an encounter with an animated Tennessee fan who later admitted that he was expecting a blowout loss because "that's how things always seem to go" when we play in basketball.

I've replayed him saying that in my mind a few times, and I can't help but laugh. We live rent-free in the collective psyche of their fan base.

Enjoy, UT fans!

[Ribsandwhitebread]

Have our expectations of athletes dropped so far that a post-game comment, where he clearly went out of his way to include previous matchups where they beat UK, makes someone unhateable? Two weeks ago he was flexing in the crowd against freaking Vandy.

[anthonys735]

-Tucker made a great point, that may have been the last really raucous 24k+ Rupp crowd. That's fairly sad. Hell of a way to leave a mark, legendary crowd and win. We'll remember that one for a long time.

-Great for JB, secures that card for 2 more years and gets him in the majors... but he has to pick it up. He's getting destroyed over being so slow.

-Adding Brooks would be sweet, wanted that dude all along, and a bit underrated by some of the services because of an injury. Another big long wing. Plus a double set of birds to the WhoooWhooWhoo dumpster fire.

-The road to Louisville Region is still right there. Beat UT and UVa drop one more and it's ours. They still play UL twice so... CARDS!!

-Ursch brings king cakes for Mardi Gras, anth eats 1/2 of one, anth doesn't want to see a king cake for another year. Quite a tradition.

[drxman1]

Did you find the baby?

[anthonys735]

I've had enough boat one liners for a couple months.

[wcc31]

Why pray tell would that be the last big raucous Rupp crowd?

[BBdK]

Agree. Why pray tell?

[PTI Anon1640710541]

Yeah, 73 wasn’t even there.

WTF?

Not buying it.

[anthonys735]

Why pray tell would that be the last big raucous Rupp crowd?

They're reducing the seating by about 4k after this season.

[SAECATFAN]

Yea giving poors in the upper level humane seating arrangements pretty much seals Rupp’s fate as a vaunted venue.

It was a pretty good run tbh.

[IsRichieGonnaStart]

He was non stop on Saturday night. I was just waiting for him to tell that UT couple at the bar to hit up Sound Bar postgame.

Weird, almost like I didn't say, "really raucous 24k+ Rupp crowd."

Regardless, of the well being of the lowly plebs forced to cram in the rafters, Rupp not seating over 24k will be odd.

[BristolCat_rivals158386]

Anth literally said the last really raucous 24K crowd.

[PTI Anon1640710541]

Anth is wrong just because, imo.

[Voinovich.]

Mutton: yay or nay?

[roguemocha]

Mutton Snapper, yes.

[UnfrozenCatfanLawyer]

I'm basically built like Ichabod Crane, and those upper-level seats are too narrow for me, let alone all of the fats that make up the bulk (lol) of our state's population.

[mashburned]

RUPP SUCKS!!! NEED MORE AMENITIES FOR MY ***!!!

[eyeroll]

Glad MJ spoke about Cal telling our fans to sit down and shutup. That was ridiculous. Dude fn hates BJW worse than anybody, and UT was overrated.

[IsRichieGonnaStart]

Seth Davis has created an argument that UK is more deserving of a #1 seed than Gonzaga. I’d forgotten that Gonzaga lost to UT and UNC.

Gonzaga hasn’t played crap since December 15. Are they going to reward more Quadrant 1/Top 25 wins or reward Gonzaga’s watered down win steak?

WHO KNOWS BUT THEY WILL MOVE THE TARGET ONCE AGAIN.
