- For a program who has had to slog through the regular season a lot the last 10 years, I’m appreciating this year: easily beat UNC, easily beat Louisville, easily beat Kansas and beat the **** out of #1 Tennessee.

- With Washington’s emergence, we have a go-to guy. We can run. We can grind. We have a PG. We have wings. We have a bully and two athletic 7-footers off the bench. Just need our reserve guards to make the leap.

- This defense is just mean. Starts with Hagans but Herro has become a good defender. Washington is solid. And by gawd, Travis is pretty good himself when he’s not checking a PG. That dude doesn’t give an inch. IQ and Baker can both guard off the bench, and our bigs bring rim protection.

- No surprise, but props to BBN. Rupp was LOUD.

- Tennessee’s schedule down the stretch is brutal. Could Big Blue steal a 1-seed?

- I’m perfectly fine with a 2 against Virginia or Gonzaga. I’ll take my chances.

- Fact is- this team is still improving and no one wants to see these Wildcats in their bracket come March. No one.

Self inflicted hangover. Stuck with Heaven Hill BIB even after the game. Tennessee isnt a top shelf worthy program. I'm not wasting anything too good on that group.

I think even after the comfortable win, what provides the most optimism is that the ceiling is still quite a bit higher. There are still some *easier* fixes that can take us from really good to being a legit contender.

That first 4 minutes out of the break was :fire:.

I recall the empty feeling in Knoxville last fall when we got thumped- and its extremely satisfying to know that they had a big group of fans come up expecting a win, and their entire weekend was ruined. Just infinite sadness and "what-ifs". As happy as I am to get a win, i'm equally as happy because there were probably some little punk kids somewhere in Knoxville that cried last night.

My Birmingham Iron with a huge comeback win yesterday. #ForgeOn

My favorite REM album is New Adventures in Hi-Fi. Was just looking it up and the album is Stipe's favorite from R.E.M. and he considers it the band at their peak.

Watched in the neighborhood bar with the lass and a few friends. First half felt great, went to piss, came back to a new spot talking to a buddy.

Blink. 14-0 run to start the half. Literally did not move my feet after that. Planted. You’re all welcome.

Apex jacket now 6-0. Bowl win, UL, UNC, Auburn, Kansas, and now those disgusting volunteers. Will have to plan my next wear carefully.

A post feed to PJ Washington on the left block is the closest thing to automatic points the team has had in years. Particularly enjoyed the one in the first half where he got Schofield with the quick fake to the left before he went to work.

Something about the way Jay Bilas delivered the line "Tennessee is being manhandled" reminded me of Bill Raftery's "They can blow you out...in seconds" line. The announcer equivalent of "They better hurry..."

Grant Williams had more flops than FGA. He's too big and too good to take as many bumps as he does. He ought to quit it.

REM is great, but "Stand" can GGP.

-loved REM as a ute. Still have a couple rubbermade boxes full of vinyl/import. singles/press and such...20 or so bootlegs on vinyl. The most influential American band of the 1980's.

chronic town-document=amazing/influential...holds up over time.

Green-solid

They lost their sauce starting with out of time...and morphed into adult contemporary mediocrity. IMO

How awesome was it watching pure unaltered basketball for like 10 straight minutes without refs fn it up? Rupp was rocking, the ball was flowing, and it was beautiful.

The fact that they didn’t call that shoulder check, I mean screen, on Washington almost allows me to forgive the refs for the non-call on the goal tend against LSU. Lol... I think I have watched that clip about 15 times.

Disagree. Automatic For the People and Monster were still great. Popular does not equal ****.

-When did these UT Brad and Chads start wearing orange blazers. FOH.

-Schofield and Williams both ended up with decent lines but doesn't tell the story. They were never in the flow, everything seemed forced. We frustrated those dudes all night. Remarkable this young group was able to frustrate 2 guys like that, upperclassmen, guys that do it the right way, Admiral plays a guitar, guys that scribes would fellate.

-I have nothing for Williams, he's a flopping flailing *****. What a disgrace.

-Really happy for Hami. Dunk title, as silly as it is, is a lasting thing. He'll have that moment forever.

-There's my Hagans. That's the dude we've been missing.

-Reid with the lunchpail game. PJ was player of the game but Reid was probably next in line with Hero. Really good D.

-You just know they're going to put 3 seed KU in Kansas Regional aren't they?

-Kenpom didn't buy UT defense and I don't think I do either.

-Big game Rupp.

I officially hate Avery Jernigan despite him doing nothing but talking to Rivals.

Thanks for the incessant video. Jesus Christ.

If you can’t understand or appreciate all of the “little” things that Reid Travis does thing then you’re a basketball simpleton. Dude doesn’t give an inch on defense. Sets rock solid screens. Is good at drawing contact to get to the line. Does a lot of dirty work in the paint that doesn’t show up in the boxscore.

The mouth breathing IU fans/alumni around here, having already given up on their team, are now saying they’re done since Brooks isn’t going there.
Such are the joys of life!!!

Why the 2 seed? Who are the 2’s as of now?

Kentucky
Michigan
UNC
Nevada

Let’s knock UT off that 1 line and draw Michigan or UNC.

PTI is right, just keep winning and the 1 seed is still very much out there for the taking, and Seth Davis said as much just now during halftime of Michigan State vs. Ohio State. He had Kentucky at 3rd over both Tennessee and Gonzaga. Wish somebody smarter than Seth was out there beating the drum, but winning will take care of that.

Update on Nevada.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA this f'n guy...

He beat Mick Cronin and did some live F bombs on CBS afterwards and I still can't stand him.

Duke is probably too good to lose their 1 seed, but the other 3 are very much up for grabs.

Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan and UNC all have 4 losses or less, but have plenty of hard games left, in addition to meaningful conference tournaments. Any of those that win out can easily be a 1.

The Zags are always 1 loss away from dropping a line or two, and they basically have no meaningful games left.

Lots of ball left to play.

I won’t be surprised to see UK beat UT at Knoxville but lose to UT in the SEC tournament which results in UT getting a better seed.

If you have faith in the committee to get it right, then I don’t know what to tell you

Man, yesterday was WWDT. Had a feeling we we're gonna bring the wood, predicted 11 pt victory.

Had a blast posting up with the faithful. Schems, PTI, Richie and his dad, even saw ole Willy. There was more orange than I cared to see, two of those sumbitches even took the Beans seats at the Hyatt. Hope they had a nice ride home. Didn't see much of them out postgame.

Rupp crowd was live. Great game, great effort. ALL IN. #9

As for REM, was a huge fan as a teenager. Gimme:
Superman, Orange Crush, Its the end of the world as we know it.

Speaking of gay, so that Empire dude in Chicago staged his entire hate/race/MAGA crime???

I mean, that's some **** right there.

I'm no law hawk, but seems like there should be some blowback for hiring people to "assault you," tie a rope around your neck, pour bleach on you and shout MAGA country.

Filing a false police report?
