Lol. I mean, if you pick Crean & UGA over UK, UNC, and Kansas, well...

Helluva pickup for the Dawgs, the dude is nasty.

Nothing like approaching arrival to Standiford Field only to hear... GOOD MORNING. ITS CURRENTLY 42 AND RAINY IN LOUISVILLE. THE FORECAST LOOKS TO BE CALLING FOR RAIN ALL DAY SO I HOPE YOU PACKED AN UMBRELLA.

Then I look out of the window and I’m reminded how hidoeusly ugly Kentucky is the dead middle of winter. Again, I’ll take the sunshine/blue skies and cold temps over this depressing ****.

Thank goodness for basketball.

Paths to Louisville:

As a 1 seed: Finish ahead of Duke or Virginia AND Tennessee.

As a 2 seed: Virginia and Duke both finish ahead of Tennessee.

Can't make myself root for UNC tonight, but would probably do us a favor.

Regarding UVA, and everyone piling on b/c they lost to Duke -- nobody is beating Duke this year if they shoot 13-21 (or even close to that) from 3...it's just not happening. Probably the most impressive win anyone's had all season, imo. Really thought that team would have more hiccups than it's had.

That kind of thing can be fool's gold, though.

It's obviously their weakness, and how they're going to get bounced...if they do. They aren't too unlike our 2010 team in that regard -- clearly on another talent level from anyone else, but not immune to clunkers b/c of questionable shooting.

Their safety net is surprisingly defense...they are really good for a K squad, and also lead the nation in shot blocking.

-I'd love to have Louisville but short of beating UT twice(or them slipping up) I don't see how we get there. 1 seed is very possible if we just win at home and lose only @UT.

-Duke, Virginia, UK, Zags(trending up), UNC(D trending down), MSU(fraud) and VTech(fraud) as the Kenpom teams top 20/20. KU out. UL is probably the next closest. Ken is not a fan of UT's D.

-IU:joy: just warms my heart. Has to be why Brooks continues to delay.

-Duke's length is just crazy.

-Edwards  Handlers and parents keeping their kids at schools that allow them to dictate their roles. Oh well, fat wop needs to get McDaniels or Hurt. Preferably McDaniels.

-So is the AAF a product of the NFL? I figured it was competing against it but games were on NFL network last night.

-Ruby's and Lola Friday night, both great.

-Nothing worse than a really hard pinky toe stubbing. :weary: Banged it last night and the little bastard is still sore as f*ck.

Per sports ref dot com, we're top 25 nationally in total blocks.

Pretty surprised.

And also, 340th nationally in 3PT attempts.

Not surprised.

That flop vs Washington when things got tight... thats a call an official *really* wants to make... get a couple step running start and throw the charge sign up- get the crowd into a real frenzy... but they actually made the correct call in swallowing the whistle. PROGRESS.

A lot of the time I wasnt really sure what MSU fans were booing about, but man do they love their booing.

I’ll reluctantly cheer for Carolina tonight to help the Cats’ case for a #1 seed. Plus, I loathe how white journalists fawn over UVA bc they see themselves being able to play that way.

With the way Carolina likes to speed the game up and being at home it sounds like a good CUE IT UP opportunity on Monday.

Currently a pick em.

Also, getting the blocking call rather than a charge on that Washington drive later in the game. Both correct calls.

St. Mary's isn't nearly as good as they have been in recent years, but the Zags beat them by 48 on Saturday. :eyes: Losing Killie sucks, but that squad is loaded & has already taken down the Giant.

Also, UNC seems to be trending up, not down.

Lead the nation in blocks and steals yet only three or four teams foul less than them. :eyes:

Their D isn't on KP if I'm not mistaken.

* Putting together our Spain/Portugal trip this weekend, and it looks like we're renting a car at some point. The cheapest option is a (left handed) manual Fiat. I mean, I do this....right? Will make for great snapchat/insta fodder, imo.

* Been training hard the last few months and shooting for a 3:20 marathon. Went out fast 3 weeks ago at the Louisiana marathon, and just totally fell apart for a 3:49. Decided to redeem myself this weekend at the Rock N Roll New Orleans, where my only goal was to run easy and comfortable the whole way. Low and behold, ran a 3:33 for a much better PR. Much happier today.

* Considering getting my UKAA buddies together to go watch the LSU game tomorrow night at Fat Harry's. Honestly, the biggest reason is just to see if any actual LSU fans give a flying **** about the game. Probably not.

* It doesn't help the cause for changing the charge call when EVERY SINGLE REPLAY involves the announcer reviewing the tape....."see, see how he drops his shoulder there. see how he raises his elbow 3 centimeters. that's a good call." [sick]

* Book recs?

* Kash Daniel with a press conference at the Kentucky Sport Boat and Recreation Show?? :joy:

He's incredible.

* Matt House and Eddie Gran turning down bigger offers to stay at Kentucky tells me one thing -- they *know* we've got what it takes to repeat last year's performance. Generally, and particularly with these assistant coaches, they know when the best time is to bail out. Face it, if you're as assistant at Kentucky, you count your blessings when you have a great season and your star is on the rise. Rarely ever happens. They wouldn't turn those offers down without a high degree of certainty this thing is just going to keep rolling. Otherwise, it may be their last shot at such a big promotion. Gives me a chubby over 2019-20.

I rented a manual VW Polo for a trip across Ireland next month... havent driven a stick in nearly 20 years but whatever. What better place to break the streak than a country that drives on the opposite side of the road and is notorious for having **** road conditions...

My wife acts like a 4 year old on trips to Lexington and back... so unfortunately, the "renting a car and driving across the country" style trips simply aren't in the cards for us. (not really my cup of tea either, tbh, but would definitely enjoy in Ireland, Italy, etc)

We (she) want to visit so many smaller towns along the way that it makes the most sense. Otherwise we’d be buying like 8 train tickets. No thanks.

Of course she romanticized the “driving down the coastline” fantasy, and even suggested a “cute little Fiat.” The manual was $100 for a week, even dropping off at a different location. Cheapest car on the list. So there ya go. Will take video of the shenanigans.

We almost rented a car to drive from Madrid, Spain to Monte Carlo, but it wasn't going to be romanticized. It was going to be an overnight drive to get there in time to catch our cruise. The French air traffic control was on strike and we didn't think we would make our flight. But it ended up working out last minute and we were able to fly to Nice. I would have been acting like a 4 year old and getting car sick for sure driving through the Pyrenees.
