In the 20 years I’ve known Wodie Sloot, she never complains about a wedding so long as......
- it doesn’t interfere with football season
- it doesn’t interfere with basketball season
- it doesn’t interfere with the Blue/White scrimmage
- it’s ay least two weeks clear of National Signing Day
- the Save the Date is 9+ months in advance
- the wedding hashtag is acceptable
- the invitations are sent out 7-8 months in advance
- nobody has the audacity to bring gifts to the wedding
- the wedding shower is limited to only 1, isn’t co-Ed, and also doesn’t interfere with any of the above
- there is a wide variety of organic, farm fresh, non GMO food options at any and all activities
- the bar is open and has diet and/or reduced calorie versions of all mixers
- the entranceways and exists are all clearly marked, HIPAA protected, OSHA approved, and ADA compliant
- there is a reasonable amount of parking
- the band plays a nice mixture of both classic wedding music and newer pop hits, allowing for both intimate slow dancing and more up tempo group style interaction
- the weather on the day of the weding is cool enough to avoid excessive sweating and difficulty with hair maintenance, but warm enough to not need additional layers of unnecessary clothing
- the bride and groom consult a licensed Emily Post professional so as to clearly communicate matrimonial etiquette on all mailings
- children are allowed to attend but are given a separate area to enjoy activities on their own under adult supervision
- the selected partner hotels are a minimum of 4 stars with the option to upgrade to a larger suite
I’m sure I’m forgetting a few, but that’s some of it.
