Jaylen would have been drafted had he stayed in the draft last year. Very likely he goes this summer.

But, like you, I would happily take the McDaniels brothers on next years team.

Me either! I come here for a break from everyday life and read what others think and discuss basketball but all the negative talk has been a real bummer

Desperate no, but I think frustrated. His recent comments on not being a good recruiter, wanting to be able to sleep at night, etc make me think so.

Desperate? Wow. Do you really think he offered Daniels because he needed a top five recruit to quiet down the whiners on this board? Whats wrong with you? I think Cal has proven that he has a planned out process for recruiting each year.

But an offer now feels like good news. Waiting this late, if we weren't in the picture, an offer would just never come. No need to beg or look desperate publicly for a kid you can't get. So if we're offering, we must be a real player.

Maybe we were selling Wiseman on being a 4 here (recruiting he and Carey, etc) and once that ship sailed, that spot opened up for McDaniels.

Or maybe Cal just knew he could afford to wait. We've done that before too.

I really hope he comes to Kentucky, but after all the other recruits we have lost out on, I am going to hold my breath and try not to get excited until the kid signs on the dotted line and suits up for us. Kids can be so fickle.

Very fair take on your part. I've been doing that for awhile now and not getting overly worked up about any recruit. Sure, I've been disappointed but I'm just not hanging on in hopes of recruits picking us as much any more and just waiting until the process is over. No sense in getting bummed early about a class until it all shakes out.

Seeing how I said we should stop recruiting wiseman and start recruiting this kid back over the summer...... I’d say this is one thing I got right long before cal did

He offered this kid after all the other top bigs are saying no.... so it’s pretty obvious this kid was plan B if not C
