‘bout damn time! Should have happen the day Wiseman picked Memphis.
Pic below shows he's thinner in the upper body but has some mass in his lower body, which is more important anyway for basketball.
What did we offer him? hopefully an apology for not effing offering him a scholly 3 months ago.
Could I be reading too much into this by thinking that Cal just offered him because the kid has told him if you offer I will come? May be just wishful thinking.
It could also very well of just been give me an offer cal or I'll have to drop you from serious consideration.

I think about how difficult it has been over the past few decades to reel in these west coast stars. When Kentucky gets their commitment it only makes it that much sweeter for me. Come on down Jaden! #BBN

I've never seen Cal talk down on himself and recruiting either....... so him feeling desperate to get a top 5 player might just of made him hurry up and offer ..
Cal likes to offer in person, but he's also been to Washington a half dozen times recently and we've had a McDaniels thread every time.
I still think there was something that had to get cleared up or squared away about this recruitment, and we'll never know what that is, most likely.
But an offer now feels like good news. Waiting this late, if we weren't in the picture, an offer would just never come. No need to beg or look desperate publicly for a kid you can't get. So if we're offering, we must be a real player.
Maybe we were selling Wiseman on being a 4 here (recruiting he and Carey, etc) and once that ship sailed, that spot opened up for McDaniels.
Or maybe Cal just knew he could afford to wait. We've done that before too.

I can state one thing with no reservations. Cal is NOT desperate in any way shape or form. Anything else you state may or may not be true but that is a definite crock....

Our fanbase needs a big win for some sanity. Recruiting a top 5 player that's called us his dream school means Cal is desperate. I don't know how the rest of the programs in the country even manage to field a team.
You must of missed the pregame conference after wiseman announced for memphis. That was a man sad and depressed about missing out on top 5 players.
Hopefully Jayden can convince his brother to graduate early and come play one yr with him here. Just wishful thinking cuz he looked awfully good in Maui. Probably headed to the league next yr

Look at every positive thread and you will see the same negative posters. Fellowship of the Miserable.
The bottom line is that, with rare exceptions, we never know exactly what is going on behind the scenes. Public confirmation of an offer is somewhere from neutral to positive. It isn’t a negative.
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Judge Taylor says "people generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for," and I've never been able to argue with his point.
