That's why you should be concerned. Going from Tatum, Allen, Kennard, etc. to Zion Williamson shooting set-shot 3 pointers. LOL.
I mean he’s averaging one attempt per game right now. I’m ok with it.

Key words being right now. Once there's tape, teams will adjust and Zion will compensate with more outside shots. I can already see the angry posts made by Duke fans. LOL.
What do you think his 3PA/game will be at the end of the season?
Doesn't matter. This year's Duke team has major weaknesses it hasn't had in recent past. It's going to be another one of K's classic early tourney exits. Kept one of Bagley or Carter and it would be a different story, but Duke has a lot of flaws that won't show up until later.

Team USA and Klutch sports will make sure refs are bought. Zion and Barrett are worth too much money to let them fail
What percentage do you think they’ll shoot from the outside for the whole season?
I get your smugness. You have a really good team and will win a bunch of games.
But college basketball is funny. Go cold on the wrong night and the season is over. Just like that.
And predictably, that is going to happen. Duke is good, but Duke vs. the field right now is still going to be the field.
On the nights where the other team takes care of the ball, takes good shots, then gets back on D and packs the lane, Duke will be challenged. I’m sure you will conquer some of those challenges, but more than likely your season will end on a night that you don’t.
And to be honest, that’s all 90% of the people on this board care about (where Duke is concerned). That you lose that last game. Not that we won’t enjoy other losses between now and then.
I was genuinely curious but thanks.
Army at many times was within suing digits. That's not going easy on your Alma Mater. You do that by staying 20+ points ahead all game and not letting it get past 35+.
Cam Reddish had a good start shooting, but then he cooled off.. RJ and Zion never quite got going.. What they did against Kentucky was more just us being unprepared and a bit of blind luck. Zion hitting a 3 pointer in his first game?
Zion had 27pts 16rebs 4asts 6blks on 11/14 from the field. Never quite got going though.. lul
You are genuinely smug and pretentious.
Who cares what Duke shoots from three on the year? Maybe someone on the Duke board, but not here.
I’ll never understand why you guys come over here and work so hard to sell yourselves. Can you not enjoy your season without our validation?
You guys are good. You’re shooting the ball well. You will win most of your games. Zion is a beast.
Happy now?
Now go play with your Duke friends and come back to chat after you lose that last game. We will be in a pretty good mood then.

Sure. Duke is best at attacking the rim. Just like Reid said, they get a lot of points via fouls. Teams will start throwing zones at them. 2-3, 1-3-1, box and one and having guys get back on defense. They've been hitting their outside shots but that won't last for long. The spacing in the lane is going to get muddy because if they can't attack the rim, they can't really reach their ceiling. Did I explain that well enough for you?
This is one of the most unintentionally funny lines ever on this board.
Yeah right, in a game where Zion had 27 points on 11-14 shooting, 4 assists, 16 rebounds, a steal and 6 blocks, he "never quite got going." L.O.L.
What exactly must a player do to be regarded as "going" in your world?
I meant from a shooting standpoint, particularly from deep.
Dude, he shot 11-14 from the field in the game. From "a shooting standpoint" he did just fine.
When you shoot 11-14 overall then it hardly matters that you missed one shot you took from deep.
Smarmy??? You have GOT to be kidding. A little dainty on your part.
You respond to that throwaway word, yet ignore the substance of his post.
Try to divert with childish nonsense all you want, but he still asked a valid question that you've not answered: Did you check?
Once they verify that I am not whoever you think I am, let's move off this thread. A Duke Army thread doesn't deserve this many posts.Check what? Verify with a MOD? Are you really that ridiculous? Do you think that helps you?
Okay, I will ask a MOD...
@jedwar
@JohnBlue_
Please verify if you have the time MODS.
I'm going to place a lot of money that those 11 shots were from 8 feet and in, and not some mid-range stop and pop game.. at least not by Zion.
Look, the point is that against ARMY, they didn't turn into GSW and light it up from all over the floor like they did to us. They are beatable. They played a near perfect game against us and they won't be able to replicate that very often.. hence why they were only 5pts ahead of Army at several points in the second half.

I get where you’re going but I think it’s a huge assumption that they won’t continue to shoot well from 3. Reddish and AOC in particular are established shooters and Barrett is rapidly improving. Even Jones has shown the ability to knock it down.
But you’re right, if they all reverse trend (and that can certainly happen a game at a time) it will make for a tougher night. That team would still have to keep them off the line, keep them out of transition, and guard Zion in the post.
Larry johnosn/zion, stacey augmon/barrett, greg anthony/jones, george ackles/reddish, david butler/bolden. Is not a far cry from reality lol. All have striking resemblance lol. But guess what anderson hunt aint walking through the door lol. Duke missing atleast 1 guy from the scenerio. Thankfully bagley, carter, trent gone lol . We just need a hot shooting non turnover team with size (shoulda, woulda, coulda been ky) , and duke will underachieve with their holy almighty talent lmao.
He wears duke tho. Never forget that lol. But ya greg anthony was tough.Reddish shot 36-126 from 3 in EYBL last year. Don't expect him to be consistent. He has a major slump coming up.
lol. Greg Anthony was the 12th pick and played 10 years in the NBA. Both things that Jones won't sniff.
I'm not sure why this matters. If you can get shots from 8 feet in why not take them?
Not lighting it up is debatable......I mean they they shot 56% from 2 and 41% from 3. Their effective FG% in the Army game was only 3% less than ours (59% vs 62%).
If your near 60% in shooting, your not losing many games. Period.
It's Army. And they're at home. If we're comparing Kentucky to Iowa.. Ok.. Early in the year, power conference teams. But army isn't even really a low major.
Jesus guys, our board would be livid if we were only up by 6 against army with 10 to play. Why does Duke get a pass? Why does Duke get a pass when theyre supposedly the best team in history?
The best team in history should have won by 40 and shot 70% against Army.
They are not the same people that I can find.
I get that but in the end does it really matter?
I mean we were only up 3 with 10 mins to go. Yes Southern Illinois is way better than Army but still.
I look at the final result. They were predicted to win by 28 and won by 22. Based on Army's talent and Duke's talent, they pretty much did what was expected of them.
The whole it's army argument can be flipped around.......after opening the year up Duke vs Kentucky, I can't imagine the Duke players were all that jacked up with playing Army and the same could be said for our guys vs Southern Illinois lol.
Army shot ball well. Only when duke started protecting rim in 2nd half did they look like the honest better team. Everybody is way ahead of themselves. Ky simply helped them look like killers and us like scrubs. That game i think along with alot of other much more high paid analysts that actually know calipari. Agree this might been the best thing for this team. RetoolPeople here are deterring away from what the message was: Duke isn't quite as good as we made them out to be. Best team? Probably. 40-0? Best tw ever? Pump the breaks.
Or another way, who thought Army would have made several runs to keep it a game? Is that.. Is that no one? No one saw that coming? Everyone here thought it was gonna be a 50pt blowout..
Everyone here thought it was gonna be a 50pt blowout..
Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Now that it has been checked, only one question remains: will @BBUK apologize to @ObjectivelyModerate for the false accusation?
