I love how nearly everyone bitching about the weather is indoors for about 97% of their day.

Puppies to those of you suffering through tough walks to your car. Porch lights on.
Actually, I am crawling up and down a construction site for a half hour every other day. When I get back to the job trailer to pack up my PPE, I always tell the contractor, “Wow, you guys would not believe how hot it is out there!” And they seem to really get a kick out of it, IMO.

“Constanza and out,” big time.

I love Fall but can't say I'm all that thrilled that the one night out of the year I run through cow pastures and sleep in a van it's gonna be 40. :flush:

Any puppies scent would be appreciated.

* I spend the majority of my outdoor time recreating in vigorous exercise -- running. Heat indexes nearing 100 in October can kindly (pronounced like the bartender) get pumped, but not nearly as much as cold weather. Cold weather, as we all know, sucks.

* As the President of my local UKAA chapter, I help organize and promote our game watch parties. Given our mediocre football history, it's hard to find a place willing to show our contests -- and it's an absolute no-go if we're competing against LSU/Bama/UGA/etc. This weekend worked out great for a change, as there weren't any other big games at the same time, and it was a matchup of two top-25 teams. So we asked our barman at our regular game watch spot, and he secured us the back room, tv, and sound. Then ole boy texts me Saturday...

"hey, do you know some dude named [redacted]? because he called this morning and said he was bringing ONE HUNDRED Kentucky fans to the bar today."
"never heard of him. was he drunk? we get about 15-20, tops."

Well, it turns out our old college fraternity had their formal in town this weekend. So, I walk into the bar at 5:30, and it's shoulder to shoulder, wall to wall college frat boy Kentucky fans......and their dates. Place was standing room only. When we scored the first td, I thought the place was gonna get set on fire. Just bonkers. Couldn't hardly get in the bathroom as it was stacked fairly deep with dudes laying out the nose candy on the toilet. Perky little braless tatas everywhere. Not a hint of stress or pissiness for miles around.

* Calling for Gunnar Hoak isn't Billy Joe Wildcat at all.....

- I think most fans just want to see him get a few snaps here and there to give the O a different look
- most of our offense is handing the ball off to our all American running back anyways
- if TD Terry was a pocket passer, you could be concerned with shaking his confidence, but of course he's not

* Arnaud's last night with drxman and his lass. Good freaking times.

Weekend highlights:

Awesome little jaunt to the Big Easy. Surprised my buddy Johnboy for his birthday. Aside from the game, just absolutely crushed it in the quarter.

Diet went out the window. Chargrilled oysters, bbq shrimp, crab cakes, red beans and rice, poboys, muffaletta...and then an absolute treat at Arnaud’s with Pti last night. The potato soufflé :fire::fire:

Just something cool about posting up at the Carousel bar, smooth jazz, and tasty cocktails. Ursh even wore his best monogrammed Oxford.

Already making plans for a return trip.

Off to Deenies for one last gluttony.

Nothing showing more lack of self-awareness than hearing people living in Florida complain about how hot it is in Florida to other people living in Florida.

- Cool mornings? lol Yeah right.

- Nothing wrong with going to your backup QB when your young starter is drowning on the road. Change of pace/liferaft or what have you.

Yessir, that dumbass Nick Saban put in his true freshman QB in the National Championship game after halftime when J Hurts was struggling.

Just as bad as these hippos from the Midwest complaining how hot it is in the southernmost part of the US in mid-late summer. Every now and then I can’t help myself and ask them, “If I showed up to your house in Wisconsin early February and told you it was really cold, what would you say?” Usually they say something like, “I’d tell you what did you expect?” Then they slowly realize, ”Ohhhhh, gotcha haha.”

Great, Brax had to go and ruin Destin. Thanks

I think i will wait to hear from the resident Hurricane expert before i go believing Destin will be ruined. Probably just a few rain showers, i am sure everyone will just lock the windows and pull down the blinds. Little ho hum Cat4, nothing to see here. Little rain is great for sleep.

Completely disagree. Throwing a guy with like 4 snaps to the wolves at Kyle Field in front of 100k and a patchwork OLine?

What we should have done is run the ball. We lose running the ball and we chalk it up but trying to be cute and trick them all game was dumb. As was waiting until the last second to call in the play and continuing to get false starts.

If anybody can hook me up with a pair of handicapped seating tickets for the Champions Classic, I will let you punch me in the face as many times as you want. Drastic times call for drastic measures and I've exhausted all options I know to seek.

Thanks, GYERO!

EDIT: I think I can still order tickets on the Michigan State site, but I can't guarantee they'll be accessible seating and that's where the problem is for now.

Don't you just have to show up early and exchange them for handicap access most times?

I honestly don't know. I attend games once in a blue moon and this would be my first non-home game other than a college trip to Athens in 2006.

If you’re visiting you should def GTFO. Otherwise you’ll get stuck in ridiculous traffic or not be able to find a flight or rental car.

This lady was leaving Tampa (where we evacuated to because were HARD AF) with her kids on vacation to get away from Irma last year and was so out of her mind she couldn’t remember how to buy or pump gas. We had to put our credit card in and my gal pumped the gas for her. She still texts us. Pretty wild how people get when stressed.

@BKH34 My buddy has a brother with bilateral above the knee amputation. They buy the cheapest tickets they can and go to the ticket office when they arrive. Tickets are immediately and without question exchanged for more accessible and usually really good seats.

Very tempted to stay tonight for MNF. Wish Pti could have hooked it up with the corporate suite.

I need to redeem myself. I was such a prick when I was 21.

We all have bad days and were pricks when we were 21. I think what bothers people is that you were a jerk to BBdK of all people- probably the sweetest, most caring guy in here. I’ll get over it eventually, but I’m always pretty protective of BBdK. I’ve just witnessed too many people confuse his kindness for weakness and try to walk all over him.

I sold 5 gallon gas cans filled with water during Irma. Also marketed myself as a hurricane preparedness expert which really meant I asked for people' SS#, DOB, last known address and CC info so I could 'find' them later.

People are so f'ing stupid when stressed.
