Bricsoe was solid at UK. That said, he burned some bridges on the way out, and I’ll never follow him in basketball again because of it. I’m sure he’ll do alright without me.

Yeah, that kind of irked me too. I never lumped any player with Orton and I know these are different situations but the result of my fandom is near the same.

I choose to remember Briscoe by when I saw him live at the United Center making Gracie Allen his little biotch. Dude was underrated on this board, very solid defender, wasn’t his fault that Cal turned him into a square peg and tried to put him in a round hole, yet he still produced. We needed him on the floor but he should’ve played a 6th man role. His energy off the bench would’ve been great. He should’ve been playing 23-26 mpg instead of 30+, but it was by necessity because the roster makeup his two years was not like it is now.

I think you missed my point and it's cool that you disagree, but Briscoe washed his hands of UK when he left. "I don't play for Kentucky no more" so I washed my hands of him. If he doesn't care that he played for UK, then I don't care what he does in the future.

I understood your point just fine. He didn't feel like talking about Kentucky in some interview and that offended you for some reason. That's cool, that's your opinion.

My point is that it wasn't necessary to rehash those comments in this thread when they're totally irrelevant to the topic.

If you've "washed your hands" of him, then maybe you should skip over the threads about him. Simple.

He's just a very competitive guy that cannot handle failure (in his eyes)...and he's just delusional thinking he's way better than he actually is as a player.

He committed as the #1 PG in the nation. He's Kyrie's cousin. He's supposed to be the next in line of Cal's PG's to the league. Then...Ullis comes back and Cal says its his team...moving him off the ball for a year...but hey at least he can score. Then...Jamal Murray is brought in and now he's a 3rd option. Murray and Ullis were the top backcourt in the nation while he could not hit a free throw.

He wanted to go pro...but not gonna get picked. But he figures he will be treated like Ullis because he's coming back the next year. Monk and Fox are both way better than him again and he's a 3rd guard. He has a good year...but he's overshadowed.

The whole time he believed he was better than our other guards...that he would've been a top 10 pick had he been the lead guard. In his mind, he was the man and he got passed over. But in reality...there were time Dom Hawkins was a better option than him. He could not shoot. Now he's overseas while his other teammates are in the league. Recruiting rankings don't mean everything...but in his mind he still thinks he's a top dog.

Hot take...but I've never seen a Kentucky player finish at the rim better than Zay. That little crossover move...and then he'd blast to the rim and finish a layup at any angle...always felt like it was money.

The man could not shoot a lick and still averaged double figures for 2 seasons.
