My wife is still saying bye to UCL’s wife in HHI from 3 weeks ago.

Your wife is saying goodbye to herself? Lol /gyeroinsidejokes!

My wife grievance of the day is her indecision on parking. As she slowly crawls around the lot, I’ve parked that summabitch about 4 times in my mind before she finally settles on just the right spot, then disengages as she sees another sweet spot a couple of rows over, then goes up to it only to discover that the vehicle next to it is parked a little too close to the line, before finally settling on the most inconvenient parking spot she could have possibly picked out. Dives me insane.

If any of you all haven’t been able to reach your northeastern friends, try Disney. Everyone I encountered on our trip sounded like a mix between The Nanny and Roz from Mosters Inc (male or female, didn’t matter).

Other than that, it wasn’t as much hell on earth as I expected. From a sheer civil engineering standpoint, that place is a marvel. Don’t have plans going back anytime soon though. And will never drive it again. ATL traffic can die inside an AIDS infested condom that has been set on fire with a blowtorch. Madness at rush hour in a downpour.

Took my aging chocolate lab to the vet today. He’s almost 13 and has terrible arthritis. He hasn’t been doing well at all and is showing signs of incontinence. Hope we can get him to the fall, but it’s not looking good. He’s getting X-rays now to see if there is something in his intestines. I just want to keep him comfy until he lets me know it’s time. He still shows of life and has his same goofy personality. He just has a hard time getting up from time to time.

Ol’ Dad needs a night on the patio by himself with some tunes and his good boy for just a little while tonight.

Bow fishing too yes, but I can spear those things more easily than that. Plan is to start hunting somewhat regularly in the Everglades and mainland Florida and pack home as much meat as possible to store in the downstairs freezer.

Tyler Childers tonight:sunglasses:

:americanflag:

Saw him last night in Louisville....absolute blast. Spent some time with him afterwards and he is just as nice as you would hope, and Kentucky to the core. Still keeps his friends from growing up around and most people there last night were people who knew him along the way in Kentucky. I love seeing guys like that have success

--- Just getting off vacation but have talked to some folks around the program. People are giddy. I think the whole group is better collectively than anyone thought they could be. One person told me, "we won't have a traditional star, but we have ten guys that can play and literally seven of them could lead the team in scoring on a given night." Last time I heard this excitement level was in 14-15. I expect a fun year

--- Calipari is on a recruiting bender...he was so pissed about Zion stuff that he has basically made it his mission to retake the recruiting throne. The Reid Travis thing is an example...he made the goal of having the kid commit without visiting Villanova and it worked. I am not yet up on the 19 class (that is what I use July for) but I am told they are sitting pretty not only with the two commits, but the ability to select the top 2-3 guys out of 6-7 they want. Wiseman is the X factor, but they still feel good and Calipari is at the head of it.

--- Season 2 of GLOW is out...I think its the best show that virtually no one I know watches...reminds me of "Life and Times of Tim" which I still insist was as funny as anything I have seen on television

--- During the 2 weeks I was gone, it feels like the country self-imploded daily over something different each day. Folks know I am on the Progressive side and I know there are tons of Conservatives and it is what it is...I am not trying to convince anyone with this comment.

But I do miss having a world where Trump wasn't the top story every moment of every day. He sucks up everything else that is going on in a very exhausting way. I guess if you love the guy, thats good, but I since so much of what he does is ratings-based and his celebrity is a big part of his popularity, I wonder if people will ever just get tired of the constant drama. Maybe not...but I sure have. Its like when MTV in the 90s only showed "The Real World"...a show that never goes off and only gets wilder by the day (although I did love the first three seasons of that)

--- I turn 40 in August. That is depressing

Have a good week GYEROites

40 is more mentally traumatic than anything. I’m still having fun.

A friend of mine once said, maybe you should get serious about life...

Clay Travis is claiming ESPN is about to lose Finebaum after dickfingering his contract extension. That would be a huge blow to the SECN.

My wife (actual UNC grad/fan unlike UKO) attempted her first "joke" related to this year's team.

"You have a guy named Quickley? Guess he will....(pause)...quickly leave school for the NFL!" (wry smile)

I would say so close but it's really very, very opposite.

Nice work, my friend. Can you imagine how annoying your life would be if she actually liked sports?

Why are you letting your wife drive unless it's for the obvious reason like you're shitfaced or you're wanting to Catpaw on a road trip?

Her dad was basically the Rams Club president and immediate family members are all-in UNC. She keeps up a little bit due to blind allegiance but her general indifference to the sports aspect made the proposal a little easier.

The ONLY appropriate Quickley joke:

And if you don't get it, F Off. That's on you.

We made the drive up to Canada today in a vehicle packed by my wife. I had to work late, so she came by the office to swap cars (car seats) and pack up the night before we left.

You guys wouldn’t believe it but she managed to pack everything without incident because I drive a CPO KIA Sorento and it’s very practical for such purposes. Sidenote: I don’t even know what clothes she packed for me, so that’s where things stand for me in life, as you would assume.
